  • 3 Things To Like About Atlantic Power Corporation [View article]
Who doesn't want to own a stock of a company with lying management? They have completely screwed past shareholders like me. They have stated that the dividend is save just to cut it by 66% shortly thereafter. I would NEVER ever trust these guys again. This was one of my worst picks ever.

  • Avoid Seadrill Despite Wise Backtracking [View article]
Dividends are paid in cash as long as you have not instructed your Broker to reinvest the dividend. Call your Broker and ask. I am with Fidelity and I can do that on-line. I assume other Brokers have that too - maybe search for "reinvest dividend" on Broker website help.

  • Endocyte Fails Ovarian Cancer Trial, Now What? [View article]
I personally think a drug-loaded nanoparticle releasing sufficient drug to kill the cell would perhaps be better. The issue is just that some tumors are not well vascularized and very dense and maybe nanoparticles don't get to all cells.

The problem with this approach is that one day you will be there without shares and the train has left the station. Then you will do that again and argue the same at a much higher price. Again you will be left without shares one day and the train has left the station. You will never get to ever see a 10-bagger or better.

Short term trading is best on those things where you don't have much conviction and have a clear range.

  • Isis: Long-Term Kynamro Adverse Events May Apply To Entire ISIS 2.0 Pipeline [View article]
The author might be a financial professional, but the author needs to do homework in biotechnology. People on Twitter are already laughing about this article and Dirk Haussecker (@RNAianalyst) concludes the article presents 2 year old story and ignores advances in recent trial data. Anyhow, here a link to his Blog today commenting (and tearing to pieces) this SA article: http://bit.ly/1jUlUw3

Most important, Haussecker writes (cites from his Blog): "Importantly, in oligonucleotide therapeutics in general, while nucleic acid chemistry has a great influence on whether a molecule is immunogenic, it is the exact sequence composition that ultimately decides whether this is actually the case." and "While I had been tempted to let the Seeking Alpha article by Dr. Anonymous pass as raising legitimate concerns, the blatant failure to mention the more recent experience with gen 2.0 and the after-hours action last night makes this article suspect and outright useless given the lack of new information or insight."

I agree with him completely. He has a track record in this that is outstanding.

Some BDCs might even do better if interest rates increase, e.g., FSC. They have a lot of variable rate loans on the books.

This crap causes a 5% AH drop? LOL. That is why they receive one royalty pay after another, because the drugs are so bad. I can not believe this really.....

Maybe the one molecule approach is insufficient to deliver enough toxic payload. Probably better to hit the cells with a nanoparticle delivering more payload.

Question to author: BPOP is now nearly at $35 which is the author price target. Still a buy? Why is the P/E so low?
