Mobile apps, like snapchat, are a must-have for BBRY's success. BBRY should acquire mobile app companies like FB is trying to do and like Google has done (think Waze) along with ones like these:

I've always liked ZNGA but they need to get with the mobile app program. They should be involved with entertainment mobile apps like snapchat and like these guys:

Mobile apps are all the rage with the $3 billion dollar valuation of snapchat and the $1 billion acquisition of Instagram, waze and others.

Leveraging the mobile app is also another big reason. Being able to stream audio (and eventually video) through a mobile app opens the door for snapchat-like adoption. If they could leverage video someday like these guys, that would be huge.

It would be nice to their components used in wearable wireless point of view video hardware like Google Glass or GoPro. These kinds of devices are the next wave of innovation. Companies like this one are specializing in this: They also serve as great investment vehicles themselves.

Very true, the blackberry bush needed trimming.

  • What Snapchat/Facebook Means For Social Media  [View article]
What is really driving the valuations are the fact that these companies are mobile app companies. FB knows it's up against two big risks, mobile apps and an exodus of users. First there was Instagram for $1 billion now Snapchat for $3 billion. Both mobile apps and with social aspects.

Getting in to mobile app plays before their valuations boom is important. I'm personally looking at other ground floor mobile app companies that have the potential to IPO or engage in significant M&A opportunity such as this one and their subsidiary, Pimovi:

Mobile apps that go beyond just pictures and into video are going to go far beyond Snapchats valuation, especially in the POV area. Another such company is this one, Epiphany:

POV video is the most social experience a mobile app can provide. I'd look to FB and GOOG and AAPL to fight over acquiring some of these new mobile app companies BEFORE they explode into multi-billion dollar valuations.

AOL is irrelevant. No one can dispute that, not even Tim Armstrong. I'm a bull and wish all my fellow bulls the best, even though some of us are bulls on the past, betting on the lycos'es, athomes', iomega's, digital equipments, sun microsystems, myspaces etc while others bullish bulls on the future.

Needless to day, we'll all be sticking forks in it, this thanks giving!
