  • New versions of iOS and Mac OS X will be unveiled at Apple's (AAPL +0.8%) June 10-14 WWDC conference, the company announces. Meanwhile, with shares near $400, the sell-side is much more cautious in its post-earnings comments than it was at higher levels.     We love our iPhones, Mac computers, iPod, and will soon buy an iPad. My kids and grandkids love their iPods, iPhones, Mac computers and they, too, will be buying more soon. Think everyone needs to take a breath!

  • The DoD will place an order for 650K iOS (AAPL) devices - 210K iPhones, 120K iPads, 100K iPad Minis, and 200K iPod touches - following the end of the sequester, Electronista reports. The iOS gear will reportedly be used to replace BlackBerrys (BBRY) - the DoD currently has 470K in operation - and would come ahead of the planned implementation of a "platform agnostic" device policy in Feb. 2014.   • Apple (AAPL) is sued for patent infringement by Intertrust Technologies, an early pioneer in digital copyright protection jointly owned by Sony (SNE) and Royal Philips Electronics (PHG).   • Ford (F) lowered CEO Alan Mulally's compensation by 29% to $20.95M in 2012 after the car maker missed its goals for profit, cash flow and market share. Mulally's package was made up of a $2M salary, a $3.95M bonus, and $15M of stocks, options and other compensation.
