  • Gilead to price Sovaldi at $900 in India [View news story]
Are you suggesting that the drug be priced at per capita income? The inference is there.

  • QR Energy: Is It Time To Ring The Register? [View article]
I have both BBEP and QRE and got into both below $18.00. However, since I did not want more than 10% of my portfolio to be in BBEP I sold off 28% of my BBEP at $22.60 netting a nice 32% capital gain. I will now wait until the dust settles on the transfer to see what I will do.

I used the proceeds to buy more LRE. A lot of people must have had the same idea. It went from $19.00 to $19.69 just today.

  • Total Recall: General Motors' Strength Through The Fiasco [View article]
Obviously, if you reduce earnings, as a result of the cost of recalls and products not selling, then the PE increases and the valuation decreases.

  • Total Recall: General Motors' Strength Through The Fiasco [View article]
Two companies remain afloat and stock shares continue to increase and I cannot figure out why share prices are not below $20.00. The companies are General Motors and British Petroleum. Herbalife probably also belongs in the group.

  • Are Ford's Bonds Preferable To Ford's Stock? [View article]
You are correct I should lighten up. If one is going to judge the future value of an investment in Ford then using the current stock price and yield versus its available bonds. Doing otherwise flies in the face of logic.

  • Are Ford's Bonds Preferable To Ford's Stock? [View article]
I view this article as absolute garbage. The author uses as his basis for switching from stock to bonds the fact that 10 years ago the stock was trading at about the same price it is trading now. Is this person completely unaware of the fact that in March 2009 Ford common stock could have been purchased for $4.00 a share? That represents a 400% increase in price. In addition Ford now pays annual dividends of $0.50. This is equivalent to 12.5% return per anum on the $4.00 stock purchase.

Looking back 10 years, while ignoring the market changes from 2007 to 2009, and comparing 10 years to now is the epitome of intellectual irresponsibility when giving financial advice.

Have you lost sight of the fact that the oil production of Iraq has less than 2% of an impact on world production? Why would a 2% reduction in oil cause a 45% increase in price.

  • SA author defends Oramed, shares rise [View news story]
As a Type II diabetic I have refused to take medications with the side effects he says are of no concern. There are medications without that cocktail of side effects. No need to subject yourself to them. Stefano's logic is specious.
