The 'Great Rotation' May Be Very Different Than Many Think [View article]
I definitely agree with your judgement that a tapering, leading to rising interest rates, will "cool" stocks and a slow melt down (in the stock indexs) begins.
Between KO, PEP and MCD its been the hardest thing to decide. I ended up taking MCD at the time over KO with the eye on PEP after but the entry point never really got where I wanted it.
I look at it like MCD/KO is the empire versus MO/PM/KRFT/YUM/PEP/MDLZ since that was all once one company. I took MCD and every other part of the other side. KO is always sexy but often the other side measures out better at any given time.
I am following well---my thought here is what about capital depreciation (unfortunate as it may be). There are more than a few well known High Yielders out there that are showing TTM div yields of 10%+ and 52 week gain/loss lines of -8% or more.
The two issues here being: If my goal is to remove income OR I am looking to revinvest, then Capital Gain+Dividend Increase would maintain (or grow) my income (and investment). Conversely, CapLoss+Dividend Increase would need to outpace both Inflation AND CapLoss and CapGain+Dividend Static or down would still pose its own problem.
(trying to tie up all points in how I am reading it)
Could you give me a more clear point on these numbers? I have my own already but yours intrigue me. I have the hardest time understanding RSI, and P/S, how do you use that?
I am trying to teach my wife stuff and I tell her PE over 16 is questionable without merit. I personally now actually follow PEG way more, and it has worked very well. PE got me into a few spots PEG would not have.

I found it especially interesting as I have been thinking about similar things recently. Maybe hearing Jim Cramer talk about his Charity Trust so often finally rang a bell.
