  • Facebook And Meerkat Need Each Other  [View article]
The thing is Twitter doesn't give Meerkat access to their Social Graph anymore. Keek does have their own Social Graph and announced they are getting into Streaming Live Video. And Keek is talking to A strategic investor. So, i figure it is not a bad speculation to match Keek and Meerkat.

I think a better title would be Keek and Meerkat need each other. Keek needs Meerkat for its money and Meerkat could use Keek's Social Graph.

they made the right bet on POET so far(fact). They are sitting on a pretty profit with lots of warrants to cash in even more in case POET continues with its success. so, Pinetree is all set to harvest their reward.

Pinetree is all about high risk, high reward. Investments such as FCU, NXE and EHT, to name a few, have done well for them. and POET is no different, high risk, high reward. if that is a problem for you. well, of course there are thousands of other investment problem.

"There needs to be substantial commercial announcements, well beyond what the company has been sending out. It's time to put up or shut up. "

POET's NDA's would prevent them from giving out more info, obviously. Yes, we would all like to know what is going on exactly. And so if you chose to believe those NDA's are just a smoke screen not to give out more info, yes of course you will be short.

no reason to discredit the commenters on your article, they merely support their position in POET, just like you yourself defend your short position...

to me the Manocha head table meeting significance is that at the AGM he said something about checking the technology for himself before reaching out to the industry. now that Manocha seeks to network with the Google guys, that should imply that Manocha has green lighted the technology...and for sure i put more weight on this than on any anonymous expert who did not do the DD that Manocha has.....

  • POET Technologies Revisited  [View article]
there is absolutely no secret why the author is bearish. it is very simple and there is no conspiracy. the author declared in the footnotes he has a short position. it is very common that authors for seekingalpha simply support their market position be it long or short. so, don't sweat that, just make sure you are aware of the authors position or bias....

still unbalanced. you consult with anonymous experts but you fail to mention what POET has to say, as mentioned in replies by others.
you still don't believe what POET has to say, yeah then its easier to be a short.
and about costs, who cares about costs? what matters is the cost benefit analysis.
i only see costs mentioned, but what about the benefits POET potentially offers, yeah OK of course you don't believe anything POET says.
so, soon enough we will find out who the new President, the new CEO will be. and the prototype(just months away) might just take away any questions about the benefits of POET chips.
so my analysis is, yes POET could fail to deliver(hey Apple could fail one day), but if POET continues to make progress this will be a long winter for the shorts....

of course if the author writes an article riddled with inaccuracies, then you have two choices. he lies or you have to question his intelligence. so, there you have it....big wonder people have suggested both.......

the author gives a lot of reasons to be peeved with his writings on POET.
he flatly claims POET lies about the collaboration with Synopsys, no proof given(hey you can have your own opinion, but not your own facts). that alone will get anyone who knows better going. and then he just claims all venture stocks have to be substandard. well over time many high quality stocks started life on the venture, so he is just flat out wrong on that as well.
and he is flat wrong on what he says about the licensing. this article is really bad, that is why you get a reaction from people who actually pay attention....
another one, he thinks Manocha is not qualified to negotiate with a foundry? you got to be kidding me...

yeah, OK if you don't believe anything that POET says, then it might be a short. but really no good reasons where given why POET cannot work. what we do know is that shorts got caught in buy ins recently. that is a fact...
