  • Minco Silver's Fuwan Project Is Not Dead: Shares Trade Below Cash/Equivalents And Have Significant Potential [View article]
My limited experience with Chinese investment suggests that the potential as presented is fraught with dangers and barriers to realization beyond the domestic experience. Many other places of high order potential to invest.

  • Gold Resource Corp Management Discusses Q3 2013 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
Would that a mechanism were in place ubiquitously to guarantee that corporate operations and sales reports were fully trustworthy. Government agencies purportedly entrusted with such functions are very near useless. The SEC stonewalled me on my formal complaint that the Vanguard Precious metals fund contains a greater number of non-precious metals miners than it does precious metals miners. Vanguards prospectus description is simply very inaccurate. No action was ever taken to correct this. The fund thus crashed in 2009, acting like a lead miner.

  • Alex Gurvich Positions For 2012: Finding Opportunity In A Sector Rotation Strategy [View article]
Gurvich's asset allocation plan lacking a precious metals component is a form of irrationality. He has obviously never seriously studied the history of economic cycles and periodicity of catastrophes. Not black swans, merely cycles of destruction of wealth brought on by unregulated markets. Chaos theory math predicts such nicely. Merely 20% in gold would have saved every victim of the 1929 crash.

  • In a sign on how much the Mac is being embraced as a business tool, leading industry research firm Forrester is now urging IT departments to support Apple's (AAPL) PCs, given widespread employee interest in using them. Nonetheless, 41% of enterprises still block all access to company resources to Mac users.  [View news story]
The PC has always been the camel created by the committee trying to get around patents of the Apple racehorse. Apple early on had technical and creative talent and no marketing sense. That is why we are a business nation still using mainly PCs.

  • 5 Junior Mining Stocks to Sell Before Precious Metals Correct [View article]
One of the few reliable reality checks is the Swiss franc against the US dollar. Various forces keep the ratio of the dollar against many other currencies at a decent level, but the Swiss appear to have decoupled and their currency is now an excellent barometer.
The dollar's fall against the franc is solid testimony about the floor in precious metals prices. History loves gold, especially in sustained periods of monetary uncertainty coupled to geopolitical chaos. Buy, do not sell the only insurance that history recommends. Relax and take the neurotic market corrections in stride. Your greatest problem is where to store your insurance. We need a seminar on that question.
