Ben Z. Rose is president of Battle Road Research (http://www.battleroad.com/), an equity research firm that covers over 70 stocks in five dynamic sectors: technology, solar power, education, eConsumer, and healthcare. Battle Road Research, founded in October of 2001, is one of the original eleven members of the Investorside Research Association, a trade group which certifies that its members have no investment banking ties. Prior to starting Battle Road, Rose was was a senior analyst researching software and internet stocks for Boston-based Tucker Anthony, and Adams, Harkness & Hill. He holds a B.A. from George Washington University, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Alexander Shadunsky began his career in business at a young age, when he became a part of the family newspaper business. After a brief stint in retail, he developed an interest in value investing and has been uncovering undervalued opportunities ever since. He is a regular reader of Seeking Alpha, Value Investor’s Club, and SEC documents.
Currently, Mr. Shadunsky is a small business consultant. He has spent time working on a wide variety of projects including business and equity valuations, corporate finance, business process automation, corporate communications, and strategic branding and positioning.
Mr. Shadunsky earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has studied business at Indiana University as well. Previously, Mr. Shadunsky worked as an equity analyst at Briefing.com where he covered biotechnology and pharmaceutical stocks. He also spent time with Xerox and Merrill Lynch. He is fluent in Russian.
