A universe of over 1300 stock is reduced to a list of approximately 100 names. This list is pruned using a relative strength overlay and basic technical analysis to arrive at a basket of stocks which we believe have a higher probability of out-performing the market.
The typical Fundamental Momentum stock is one that is entering its growth “sweet spot,” having a strong product cycle and potentially producing multiple quarters of above average growth, which is likely to accelerate.
Our goal is to identify stocks with high Fundamental Momentum before these metrics translate into high price momentum.
