I'm into LO for under $40, I'll take $80 and run to the bank.

  • Cramer Dumps Linn, Should You? [View article]
I refuse to be swayed in my investment decisions by a buffoonish huckster on television. I'm in LNCO for the dividend and if growth happens it's a bonus. Just don't cut the dividend or the stock price will bottom. Common wisdom says do exactly the opposite of anything Cramer says. IMHO

  • Linn Energy's 2014 Capital Program Shows A Shift In Focus [View article]
Voice, I think you hit it right on the head. After the coverage shortfall in Q2 last year I also believe Linn intentionally under promoted the growth of oily assets in the new acreage for FY14. I can sympathize with longtime holders of Linn being underwater and being very unhappy about it, but a little more patience is warranted here and I think $36 a share is a low ball price for this company.

  • Here come the tobacco mergers [View news story]
I love this stock, but would head for the exit if it hits $80. 100% profit is very hard to walk away from.

  • Moniz says oil industry hasn't made the case for U.S. exports [View news story]
I'm overweight oil stocks, but as long as we are still importing 5m BBL/day we should not be exporting our domestically produced oil.

  • Linn Energy: A Very Disappointing Quarter [View article]
Anyone who owns LINE/LNCO knows it doesn't pay 9% a month. Critter said "9% with a monthly payout". It pays 9% a year and pays a dividend every month.

SA authors are paid by the click, right? I have to imagine this article has been very busy. It pays to write articles that trash popular stocks.
I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

It's the same people who keep banging on this company over and over. If they would just back off and give Linn a couple of quarters to integrate the companies. If this investment is good enough for Leon Cooperman and he has to know more of the inner workings than I, I'm willing to wait a year.

This was a mafia style move by the Indonesian godfathers. FCX and NEM need to hold tight and force the govt to back down.

I also sold Genesis Energy for a nice chunk, but I'll deal with it. It's why I sold out of the MLP's and bought LNCO.

  • Linn Energy: A Very Disappointing Quarter [View article]
I'm not disappointed with LINE in any way, I bought this stock for the dividend but along the way I made a nice return. I cost averaged down to $27 last year and sold out in early February in the low $34's. So I collected the dividend for almost a year and sold at a $9200 profit. I have now sunk all that money back into LNCO. Wash, rinse, repeat. I know it's small potatoes, but I'm not rich.

I have read investors question/complain about the flat 2014 distribution since Linn telegraphed an increased distribution after the Berry merger was completed. I for one will settle for $0.246 (9.20% yield) a share paid every month as long as they use the extra cash to continue and grow the company.
