It does not like my format for the formula.

INDEX( 'Tab Name'!, Row1:Row100, MATCH( Current Row, 'Tab Name! ARow1:ARow100, 0),0)

If this does not work please email for a sample.

    Excellent Article - Thank you.

For all you looking for spreadsheet tips. I use a Yahoo portfolio that I call Investment Tracking. I include all the stocks that I own and ones that I am looking at to purchase.

Using the Yahoo Basic tab, I just highlight from the title/symbol bar to the last stock on the list. Then I copy the list and then paste it into a spreadsheet tab, that I have named Quotes. Now I have a list of all the current prices of all my investments in my spreadsheet. I have two tabs that use this information. One, for track my Stock Holdings and the for Stock Planning. I use a formula that reads the stock symbol finds it in the Quotes list and displays it in the holding or planning list. This updates everything to the current value. It it takes about 10 seconds to copy and paste.

The formula uses the INDEX function to find the symbol. And it uses the MATCH function to find it in the Quotes Tab and then displays the stock price and the updates.

    Example: =INDEX('Quotes'!$C$1:$...

Each Stock symbol on your spreadsheet would use this formula to display the current price.

Symbol Name Shares Current Price Total Value
    KO Coca Cola 500 $42.38 $21,190.00

I will put together a sample spreadsheet, if anyone would like to have one, just email me. This is my way to give back a little, for all the information that I have learned in the last six months from the great people on SA.

AGNC and PSEC to help beef up dividend reinvestment's. I am working on blog post from my rookie point of view. Hopefully, this will help others. One thing that I would add is to read "EVERYTHING" Chowder writes. Thank you for your time, effort and knowledge.
