I beg to differ on the iPod beings poorly made....I have kids their ipods got thrown in backpacks went thru the laundry are in clothes pockets stepped on lost and stolen...plus they kept updating and you got more storage for less as time went on.....I still use my nano touch when traveling built similarly to the new iPad in look and feel probably at least six years old works like a charm still....also disagree just on simple fundamentals that aapl is fairlynpriced compare their relative pe to 90 percent of their competition

@Rocco.... at your young age take a few chances.....I invested soley in West Coast tech since the early msft days....I survived dot.com days .....yah, I tried a couple get rich quick fiascos but only gambled with what I could afford to lose...It all worked out well, I retired at 52 yrs old 7 years ago..of course I was a homebuilder and kinda saw writing on the wall before the s /hit the wall...IMO shouldn't be any bloodbaths in Cupertino.... maybe quite a few barbeques though.... I was kinda on the wall at aapl at 600 but took a deep breath.....seems like 750- 800 easily in sights now..... going for a bike ride lovely weather in Seattle tonight....later....
Not this guy again......yah the thing to do is buy goog and msft at multi year highs and avoid aapl at multi year lows....buy high sell low great wisdom from a veteran trader...
The DoD will place an order for 650K iOS (AAPL) devices - 210K iPhones, 120K iPads, 100K iPad Minis, and 200K iPod touches - following the end of the sequester, Electronista reports. The iOS gear will reportedly be used to replace BlackBerrys (BBRY) - the DoD currently has 470K in operation - and would come ahead of the planned implementation of a "platform agnostic" device policy in Feb. 2014. Electronista previously reported the DoD had largely ended BB10 testing due to budget cuts. [View news story]

David Einhorn likes Apple's (AAPL) feisty share buyback : "We applaud Apple's decision to borrow money and return excess capital to shareholders, an idea that was off the table only months ago. This positive development represents a more shareholder friendly capital allocation policy and demonstrates the conviction of Apple's management and board in the Company's future." [View news story]
Obviously apple knows the well is not drying up...60 billion stock buyback is very convincing.......great product, growing market share , worldwide growth, ecosystem, new adopters.full pipeline of new product categories.......if you don't agree with my optimism maybe you should buy htc. Or Sony or dell or amzn or msft or Samsung or Bbry....or nok they all have no clue without aapl leading them around by their noses...I do give Bezos more respect though he takes a lot of chances with stockholders money...but not mine..
