      I believe that an institution/bank that has caused their stock to drop so far should begin to ameliorate the investor's stock loss.This could be started by having the officers take pay and benefits cuts along with" belt tightening" in discretionary areas throught the organization.In addition to the actual dollar savings I believe such efforts would be noted by large investors and analysts as a very positive executive decision.This creates a demand for UMPQA stock resulting in a higher price in the market.
      I was a long time holder of Western Sierra stock and was very pleased with their performance.
