  • Alteva: A Double-Digit Dividend Yield, Growth And A Cheap Valuation [View article]
If ALTV is committed to becoming a true cloud based company that's going to compete with the likes of CISCO and VZ then they should bite the bullet and eliminate their div. ALTV is NO longer WWVY that was subsidized by the USF and 20th century monopoly legislation....

  • Analyst reaction to GE's $3.3B purchase of Lufkin (LUFK) is decidedly mixed, with some calling the price "stunning" while others believe the premium is worth it since GE is paying for growth prospects; LUFK’s revenue rose 37% in 2012. But GE does not have a history of driving hard bargains; after years of decent but not big returns from its energy spending spree, shareholders might want to temper their optimism[View news story]

Closed end funds tend to be illiquid....,It's been my experience to purchase them during periods of volatile market sell offs..I.e..2008, 2009, etc. I purchased UTF at that time along with several others.., they have been wonderful investments that I continue to hold and enjoy their magnificent dividends.

  • Arcos Dorados Somewhere Between Gold And Scrap Iron [View article]
I think the comparison you made on the price of a Big Mac speaks volumes. My LATAM friends tell me that eating at ARCO is very expensive reserved for the upper classes...., not the same as dining on a Big Mac here in the US.
