  • Still Cautious, But Doing A Little Buying In My Income Portfolio [View article]
This occurs every time oil drops .. some of the high quality pipeline MLP's turned around big time today as well as some producers, up higher in after market trading ..
it doesn't strike many what's occurring in the middle east has anything to do w the surplus market supply being sold off at sub market prices, yet there's a strong market for U.S. condensate developing while the U.S. still imports.
Whenever the price falls below production cost, that flashes a big Buy signal, the turn seldom proven not to be far away.

It isn't an over production problem or the Saudi's would have cut their exports. We're still paying over $3 a gallon in a $ 2 market. WTI under long positions, is being driven lower under liquidation of positions. margin calls and a steep reversal which has consequently pulled the rug out from speculators. there's a reversal coming probably in the high 70's which won't sit there long.

  • Pfizer's Next Big Deal Will Generate Income For Novartis, Prevent Competitors' Initiative [View article]
NVS, we've held this stock through thick & thin including the last Market Crash down to $ 38. where we really went in w long-term capital trust money. exceedingly rewarding, great dividend and product development is superb in all categories. If you want Pharma w/o fear this is the one. The U.S. government invested over 500 mil in the N.C. facility on pandemic drugs.* What we don't like about pharma is patent protection where a foreign company like Teva produces a generic & steps all over E.U. rights and protection and get's away w it while tied up in court, however thus far quite successful in defending these patents rights w payback - but Novartis has gotten smarter & began producing the generic through their subsidiary so on shelf life extends profitability as well. Laugh, but their pet medication business is among the most profitable in the industry - the diabetes drug made from animal dna has extended pet life by years. The P.E. is quite conservative, a core holding if including pharma in any portfolio. A safe buy at 65 with annual increases in dividends historically

  • 5 Stocks To Watch For Gains This Week [View article]
thank you for your recap on ddd - we feel very strongly the stock did over-correct & is now under strong accumulation at the current price to volume, possibly 40 - 42 under forward momentum .. v/s it's sector and w investors looking for an entry point, the bottom is in - a possible short sqeeze has developed & becoming more dangerous to short this stock as they peel out of those options a very strong rally can develope which would take the stock to new highs. April's earning's projections appear quite conservative as organic growth inherantly developes. Within the sector, for several reasons, this is the stock to play .. look for slight corrections or sideways movement in ssys and others as analysis is about to change within the group, although XONE is riding high. Lots of news about to come out of ddd over the next few months ....

Your summary comment is more than credible - congratulations for making the points [ without ] pandering to potential backlash. More than obvious each investor views what they want without caution to the realities specific. This was far beyond an excellent analysis ...
To jump into the smaller companies is extremely risky, ill focused, expensive beyond that of a glance. No, ddd does not have to cut it's margins to enter the premises & we're left w folks ' still arguing pro the smaller companies singular technical advance ' and how they're going to pull a rabbit out of their hat ....
Thank You for your courage & wisdom.

  • 3D Systems Is Worth $47 [View article]
Your logically aware, the Key is who is holding the most important Patents, and stated, the cost of development to production of multi-material based printers and end unit costs, or entry [ would ] be potentially 15 differing models as is already nearly spread throughout the existing spectrum regarding competition, hardly - XONE's machine at nearly 1 mil dollars [ not knocking the performance ] no matter how singularly successful, is not a break through on cost bases or sales volume & likely to be competitively out-matched not bought-out [ there's those Patents again .. ] and now, what does Stratasy do after Object ? If organic growth is higher at DDD, the product line up vastly larger, Patents, software, Cad, tools [ condensed argumentative ] which company would likely be taken out by a third party w development capital, existing R & R, lasher technology, digital automated production and other -neither ssys or xone. Doubtful it's HP .. it isn't, they're business format dramatically differs [ which, companies are engaged in related sciences engineering to imaging, scanning, high detail component design prototyping to production ] not months away at all ... while the debate continues to be laboriously P.E.focused, despite they're the lowest if continuing as freestanding. Got news for em, Peter Lynch bought stocks w P.E's over 50 * What is the M&A value of 3D Printing ?
DDD didn't rise 1.65 on an earnings report of XONE selling 8 machines, rediculous, or 50 day moving average on a FRIDAY ! [ and okay, have owned Stratasy pre merger ] .

  • ExOne Reports Huge Growth As Expected [View article]
In the ' Conclusion's Summary ', it would appear that the Author is suggesting the possibility DDD, a larger firm, may produce a printer comparable to both XONE & SSYS, cut the cost and destroy their competition within the area specific - re: ' unless a bigger Company enters the sector [ they're sector ] and destroys the earning's power of the existing companies XONE & SSYS weather or not it is successful in the short term ' .* DDD holds patents which allows assimilation into the area of these specialized printers XONE currently produces. Cutting into that 8 sales per quarter would be dramatically negative in impact. Still, DDD's main focus remains well within other areas where margins are much higher. Weather or not DDD becomes a takeover, the effect on the other two manufactures would be devastating to continued earnings projections of the other two.* the author did not state ' a larger company entering into the 3d printing Business '. XONE & SSYS sectors are well known. [ this is cleverly written ] in avoidance of outright speculation as to what the larger company can do without mentioning it's caution regarding current valuations on either of the other two stocks. DDD has remained quiet on this sector - or it's expansion into specialized printer sectors to date. Eyes wide open XONE had increased sales on a low volume printer product .. the Author states ' the threat is pending ' certain competition. Let's see if he replies ...

neither 3D Printing nor Stratasys ever made any of those claims. It was Media Hype. I like Mexican made Roof Titles & have them on my own home.
How about a Vertebrae, a replacement limb for a destroyed valiant U.S. Solider, a Jaw bone, a Child born with a birth defect, etc.,
People have lost money in these stocks due to excitement & ill-timed entry points, Short-Traders & all the things Wall St. does instead of it's purpose in raising investment capital for a technology which can greatly and efficiently assist all mankind - and, if someone makes a dollar doing so, so what ! What ? we should destroy the concept because someone builds Toys at home from a cheap version. You good folks don't intend that ..... inexplicable, DDD up $ 1.32 on 3-28-13 ( it's suppose to go down to $ 16.00 according to the Geniuses ) well, it's bottomed. Now for the Short squeeze & the flip in SA articles. The P.E. is half SSYS

    @ Maxtar
no matter how many times you've driven these points to the attention of the Authors, they just refuse to respond. THERE IS NO COMPETETION TO DDD's BROAD BASED PRINTER LINE UP AND APLLICATION TOOLS. If Stratasys, significantly differening business, more expensive, less demand, smaller margins, no multi-material options from any other companys specific. DDD's ' molt ' is much broader. The leading Manufacture & Patents * The President of DDD merely engaged a demonstrative discourse on potential consumer product display for purposes of marketing attention, enlightenment and promotion re: Science ! Hang Him. Electric cars which can't take you more than 200 miles without an 8 hour delay recharging the batteries [ Talk about Speed of production to & from ? ] limited usefulness, Extreme Cost ? ] but it's okay for a 100 Year Old Technology to be cited as ' the wave of the future ' while Natural Gas is virtually leaking out of the ground & so cheap it's the equivalent of .12 cents per mile.. ' Tesla's P.E. and (sic) half the Analysis out there don't know Cast from Forged Metal tolerances, Sinter, component design necessities nor purpose of Prototyping a component into production, qualification purposes. How many times can you reinvent the hand-held telephone ? The Razor, the Apple to the BlackBerry, it's a Package .. talk about competition. more & more ridiculous P.E's. * As long as the Author is providing a thesis on current valuation in this article, which has some foundation - I have only 1 simple Question: WHAT IS THE BREAK-UP VALUE OF DDD ? Don't count on holding for 5 years, because it ain't going to happen. I don't want the Author to comment on M&A but considering ' the package ' and hey, M&A is as valid a Wall St. activity as buying companies just to break them up ... slap __ name branding on this ( already into R&R ) and let's see where 3D printing goes -multi-head lashers, synchronized mass production, multi-compound metals & more ....

  • Introduction To 3D Printing Stocks: Wave Of The Future Or Wave Of Hype? [View article]
Congratulations ! Author .. simplistically, a perfectly acceptable article in alignment to the subject title as published. Minus the current 'Media Hype', the unrelenting criticism your about to receive from those who purchased shares in the companies of mention, ill-timed and lost money, Short Traders attempting to manipulate the shares lower, other outstanding bias - a decent short caption & review of the major Manufactures. At least we're not arguing about ' what ' the technology is, which is tiresome. 1 idea, never use big words like ' Kurtosis ' , because now you've set off an argument about High Growth Stocks and your intended if not reasonable & unbiased cautionary conclusion regarding the Markets, Growth Industries and Valuations. But a very good Presentation ! Sir * see Stock Call Pre-market Review 3-27-13, G.E. DDD, Cummins, etc., we think they're talking about Growth Stocks
