    • Defenster: I think it the buy backs of prfd of some banks at par. Wells bought back a bunch and the financials are improving.

Looking back at historical data for PHK, its hard to believe this fund was once $3 to $4 per share, wish I loaded up on it then

        • NYer1: This fund was at a brink of collapsing back then and had to stop paying its dividend. Now it must return capital to keep the distribution rt

SLV and silver, the great decline has begun, just like back in the 80's, it'll be another 30 years til it booms again (the 30 year cycle)

PHK just went ex-div on sept 8, usually the shorts start to come in now or in the next few days and cover right before the next ex-div date

                • NYer1: I think this game is not so dependable as some people think these days. The risk of getting caught with the hot potato is increasing weekly

Nice graph NYer1, what is remarkable though is that the share price of PHK has been over NAV since 2009; two years and counting

Yeah you're probably right about a hedgefund or another large fund. Don't worry they will be back in PHK once the economic outlook improves

What is going on with PHK today? Its down almost 5% for the day, this is a big move for a high dividend-based fund.

its a miracle, looks like SLV is actually going to make it through a whole day without losing another 5%

SLV had a nice cut back -%1 after positive jobs report, I had my buy limit order at $36.10 however it only hit $36.24 then took off again
