Ariad Pharmaceuticals: Advancing in Front of Phase 3 Interim Results [View article]
Oh, I'm fine don't worry about me. I'm sincerely asking you what the near term catalyst is? Is phase III preliminary data still any day?

What now Justin? Merck backing out of deal, is there still a near term catalyst? I don't see one.
I'm holding options that expire in Aug. have a feeling they are worthless....

I am currently short APOL. Not only is this company potentially breaking the law with aggressive recruiting policies, it's going to struggle as student default rates soar: online.wsj.com/article...
Other than Cramer recently downgrading APOL, this is a pretty good short opportunity. I'd recommend looking at the chart before you step into this firestorm. Not exactly screaming buy me. It's 2009 you need to buy off technicals now, not fundamentals. Oh, and fundamentally this stock is screwed as is the company!

Hey Trader Mark,
Yep, bear markets generally kill all involved. I'm getting the feeling that it is time to start shorting....especially as some of my favorite bears capitulate. I'll be all in short by Friday.

Hello Kris,
Thank you for your article. I too am short APOL via puts. I feel this company is taking advantage of less fortunate people by selling them what tend to be utterly worthless degrees. It smells like a sham.
One thing I have learned in life, generally where there is smoke, there is fire. APOL is smoking like a grateful dead concert....

Great point, not to mention there is still a lot of bearish sentiment...nobody believes we can go higher, so we very well could.

Chart of the Week: Volatility Drifts Lower [View article]
Perfect storm brewing. As the VIX settles and calmness is felt all around it will only be a matter of days before the market gets slammed as it comes out of the eye...there are 240 mph winds just beyond this eye. They are made up of REITS, Citigroup, JPM, and small business bankruptcies.
Only a nut or loony would be buying now. I should also point out that VIX calls are getting a nice premium and the bets are on that VIX is back in the 50's before end of January...
