  • Netflix Earnings Disaster, Calling The Short Of The Century [View article]
    Insanity. Ignorance. Arrogance.

    Anything but complicity right?

I certainly never asked for any apology. All I want to know is if you feel you got it wrong about Reed when you believed he was a "sharp and tough cookie".

He saved most of the Reed gushing for the comments, here's one of my Rocco faves:

"Hastings presents as a cool guy who knows the score and not just because the media gives him a pass. My guess is that, in his presence, it's tough not to. He seems like a sharp and tough cookie."

Dead serious- it's all in the archives.

Were you just a bad judge of character? Or do you remain awestruck by Reed's intelligence?

You might have fared better had you called a spade a spade re: Hastings. Your love affair with his supposed "intelligence" was beyond bewildering. As much as I've appreciated and respected your efforts, you lost credibility with your incessant, borderline shady, praising of Hastings.

Were you just a bad judge of character? Or do you remain awestruck by Reed's intelligence?

  • Netflix On The Way To Big Growth In Latin America [View article]
Gee "Eric Arnold". First ever SA post -- comment, article, or otherwise -- to discuss NFLX's rip roaring Latin American expansion... after they just sapped $10 billion out of the market.

You should be more careful, this article was a bad decision.

  • Amazon.com To Buy Netflix? Reed Hastings' Dream, Jeff Bezos' Nightmare [View article]
Pachter has been one of few believable voices in this circus, I have a hard time dismissing his new take.

If he's being sincere, how did/would this go down? Bezos said "we want your customers but not with DVD". So Reed went and split up the company? Wouldn't he/they know the split would damage/destroy the customer base that Bezos wanted? Hard to believe Bezos would agree to anything before a split up, wanting to see the effect of the split up first. And hard to believe Hastings would recklessly split it up, threaten his customer base, without anything guaranteed first.

Maybe Reed shopped around and consistently heard "we're interested but not with DVD", and incurring the risk of splitting and losing customers was forced upon him.

What's important is, if Pachter is sincere:

    1) did Hastings shake hands / agree to anything with anyone before announcing the split, offloading the split risk to the other party

    or

    2) did Hastings roll the dice and split, hoping someone would bite on streaming-only

    or

    3) mix of 1) and 2), Bezos says "we'll buy streaming-only if you split it, and we get x number of days after split to see how things pan out, and if you're able to retain y% of your customers".

If Pachter isn't being sincere he's likely 1) having trouble finding more shares to short and is trying to get more, or 2) been paid to change his tune thus increasing the believability in an inevitable bounce, clearing out shorts and creating a big call writing opportunity.

    Or something else entirely.

  • Netflix Is Unlikely To Be An Activist Target [View article]
Operation Reed Cleanse -- full speed ahead.

Unlikely to be an activist target? $8 billion mkt cap vanished. But Reed's a great guy.

You guys are really scared. As you should be.

  • Netflix Continues To Flounder, Paving Way For Sale Of DVD Unit [View article]
Hastings was never the smartest guy in the room. You were the one who insisted on Reed's brilliance and charisma. You were the one who repeated it like it was your job. While many of us screamed very loudly, directly at you, that he was an utter buffoon.

You acting surprised now just about sums you up.

  • Netflix Versus The SEC?  [View article]
After following the train wreck closely for the past year, it was clear how they got away with it.

You have to understand and accept the breadth of collusion and deception in the story. Most people shrugged off the truth because they couldn't get their heads around it.

From the journalists to the analysts to the tv talking heads to all of the fake NFLX bears, the entire circus was an orchestration of charlatans. It never mattered how loudly "fraud!" was screamed from the rooftops. The story was bought and controlled.

And the people that controlled it became wealthy beyond words. Not that they weren't already.

It was just another public fleecing, all in plain view. So pathetic.

  • Why the Economics of Netflix's Streaming Business Is Likely to Fail [View article]
    Great article.

Don't expect to hear from Reed. He participated in the Tilson stage show only because he was a central character in that part of "Operation Reed is Smart".

Real mental giants we're dealing with here.

  • Netflix: Why the Truth Probably Will Not Surface Anytime Soon [View article]
Reed shilling has never been more transparently impotent. You shills must've gotten your shilling degrees from an online course, where they didn't teach you:

The frequency of proclamations that someone is "really really smart I promise he is" is inversely proportional to that person's intelligence.

Which makes Reed one bumbling buffoon.

Hey lizard shills -- bring that message back to the lair for me. Thx.

It's just another controlled demolition, the modern day signature of U.S. capitalism. After you've criminally rounded up the loot, the best way out is to blow it up. That's how you leverage the gullibility of the modern mind.

Toss in an extravagant shill campaign and there's usually enough dust to escape.

Luckily, the fingerprints of Reed's stupidity are on everything. And when you couple his stupidity with his spineless arrogance...

Myself and many others look forward to the coming day of reckoning.

    Rocco hearts Reed.

Reed reminds me of Bill Paxton's character in "True Lies".
