      Ethanol Producers Will Surprise Many
If and when production of cellulisic alcohol becomes economically viable then I would agree- but in the intermediate term fossil fuels will still have to be the major source of fuel- I would anticipate that LNG and CNG will become more popular as alternatives to diesel fuel and gasoline. I am bullish on NG- neutral on ethanol.

Exxon Mobil: The Root of all Evil?
Unfortunately the majority of Americans are myopic lemmings who never bother to think and (heaven forbid) analyze the issues that face us. Instead they react emotionally, look backward through a very simplistic lens and blame someone else for whatever they perceive to be the problem. Further they follow political demagogues who know how to pull their chain and get votes. They have no answers- only complaints. I hope the rational minority finally persists- but I am not optimistic.

Wind Power: Economics and Investment Opportunities
Good news, bad news. The fuel is free but the capital investment is high. The major problem is it's reliability- Other electric power sources have to be available when the wind doesn't blow which impacts revenues for wind power and further increases the capital investment required for other energy sources. It is like saying "I have to have two automobiles instead of one, a convertible to drive on good days and a 4-wheel van to drive on the bad days".
Personally, I like geothermal power- the energy source is free and it can operate at maximum output 24/7.
for what it is worth.. JS
