  • Futures mark time ahead of Yellen's Jackson Hole address [View news story]
Its all a joke, this makes me sick to my stomach to see this structure they have built. While peoples lives are being ruined, they are sitting fat. While veterans cannot even get a proper surgery, they ensure their class can buy another Yacht. This is not envy of the rich, this is a structured system of the highest plunder ever conceived. I know many of you rich guys on SA are loving it, sociopaths driven by greed and pathological liars run our country.

It is getting closer and closer, they cannot hold it down forever. The world is awakening, YouTube, Twitter and increasingly SA is full of the truth that is repelling that vileness falling form the sky of NYC, COL and Geneva foolishness.

    U/E 6%? Gold 1,275? Stocks at 5 years high?

It's all just a joke. Thats fine, every day we grow more informed and participate less and less in this ponzy scheme joke of an economy.

Go to work, pay half your paycheck in taxes, then what you are left with is worthless from inflation and people tell you its your fault. Its a massive game of mental illness, greed, sociopaths, liars and generally some well meaning, but tricked individuals.

BTW- I am a 23 Y/O college grad, not many helped me to get where I am, hence now I can see the system for what it is. I make great money, work in Fin Serv and am not some crazy conspiracy theorist. You guys who think this system is morally right or sustainable have been duped by the biggest transfer of wealth in history and you deserve to have your children grow up in this filth that you are helping to advance.

  • Yellen sticks to game plan at Jackson Hole [View news story]
What RM13 means is that they can simply shift from tax to print.

A true example of a rising interest rate will instantly bankrupt the Government, but they can print as long as they want and keep this bubble that most of these rich investors on SA live in going.

Its getting closer and closer to ending, you guys have had ample warnings, yet this time is different, the people are awakening, but more importantly foreign investors are also.

But hey, jobs are improving, gold is a horrible investment and inflation is 2%!

  • Markets take Yellen's remarks in stride [View news story]
Gold to $700, I must be back on SA!

Gold, the most hated asset by the established investing class. It will have its day again, namely when they stop fixing the price, writing naked contracts shorting it and bashing it on the propaganda machine that is MSM.

I can believe something like $1000, but $700?

What is your reasoning behind this?

  • H-P +4.5%; sell-side praises cash flow, top-line performance [View news story]
I was at Sams the other day and everyone was flocked around the Apple section, while the heavily discounted Windows 8 laptops were gathering dust.

But then at Wal Mart it seems HP, Dell, Lenovo and Asus were flying off the shelf. (40k avg income, 70% COL area)

Whilst quite anecdotal, HP has lost a lot of appeal among my consumer class (early 20's). My friend bought an HP touchsmart 23' recently and he returned it quite fast and bought a $60 GOOG tablet that has an HDMI port and he hooked it up to a 50' Tv. Whilst this is an uber-casual consumer (Hp apparently relies heavily on work desktops, I have heard, please correct me if I am wrong), it absolutely shocked me the pace at which these ancient computer companies are losing with the average customer, both on price and in quality.

Then again, I do not know much about HP, I do like their keyboards.

I got 2 iPads, a Mac Mini and a Samsung Chromebook (I am not spending $1000 on a new apple laptop), I am 100% satisfied and would not have it any other way, well, maybe throw a 20' Sony Tap and I will die of ecstasy!

  • South Africa's Increasing Economic Uncertainty [View article]
South Africa is just another example that minerals and natural resources mean nothing if you do not have to political structures to build an economy on. It will continue to be at the hands of those countries with stable politics and the infowar of keeping the country separated and fighting will not cease.

I would, however, invest in real estate here, with a very small portion of my portfolio, but otherwise, I see nothing here investable, outside of back door plays like investing in combo panties with heavy presence in S.Africa. Eventually the country will have a period of stabilization in between this chaos and the land is not going anywhere, it will survive the storm.

With talks of nationalization and all I bet land is dirt cheap and people are dying to get out of there.
