Just got back from our little protest in Albany with our great Cuomo's decision on gun control. Over 6k people showed up and the NRA has those Dems in office running scared now in this state!!
Wait until we see those results when their term is up!! Can you imagine being given less than an hr to vote on a gun law? Oh wait isn't that the same amount of time our POTUS gave Congress to vote as well??
Certainly not to fix the pot holes or the bridges that's for sure..That is why we have to build a brand new bridge because the old one is in such bad shape is can't be fixed!!
But for years i just think of that old joke HOW MANY xxxxx DO YOU NEED TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB? You need to see how many workers are needed to fix a pot hole when the do, maybe 8 guys? Of which 6 are always eating and doing nothing. Yeah , i want my govt to control more infrastructure..Give me a break!!
But we have no inflation right? One tolll was a dime, in 30 years it's now $2 bucks!! No wonder more people are staying off the Thruway if they can!!
Hate to tell you this but the toll on our new Tappan Zee Bridge will be close to $15 bucks for the working stiff having to travel over it into NYC..DAILY !!
I live for those .50 cent days...Maybe other states pay a lot less but right now our MTA just pushed it's subway toll up TODAY to $2.75 cents one way !!
Then if you buy the monthly card once you buy a new one a $1 surcharge is additionally charged...Wish i knew where some of you live with those tolls that you get change back from you dollar..???

Can you imagine having to pay $15 bucks a day PLUS gas and then parking to go to work? I read some here take mass transit, what does it cost in your cities?
Do you know that the tolls on the NYS Thruway were suppose to expire when the project was paid for?

Think they plan on letting it expire when they now put EZ pass lanes in all over the place and now say that they will do away with the CASH lane soon as well...
