Excellent post. I did some dirty valuation and at the originally proposed price, the PE on the stock was in the 40s compared to its closest public equivalent GWR which trades at a PE of <20 which is MUCH MORE PROFITABLE and MUCH LESS DEBT-RIDDEN. I chose to stay away from the IPO and thankfully so!

When I read this...I thought it was a joke. The author of is out of his mind. Semel sat back and let Google turn into a huge monster without doing a thing about it. That was a MONUMENTAL FAILURE...and one of the biggest in corporate history. This author is a joke to say that Semel "saved" Yahoo.
