Semi-retired; seeking investment wisdom. Have invested (collected?) in stocks for over forty years. Ten years ago decided that professional management made sense (what was I thinking?). Two years ago accepted that the 'pros' [a] aren't better investors than I am; [b] are a lot more expensive than I am; and [c] prosper (get paid) regardless of whether my assets increase or decrease.
