I have worked for Roche, and I can tell you, Chimera's report is 100% professionally researched and reported.

Here is a supposedly reputable journalist, who is writing a laudatory article about A, and toward the end of the article he cautions that the future may not be so rosy, and at the end he says he is long B, a competitor of A. Then, when I recommend that readers, read another article, a more scientific and accurate article called "SUBSTANTIAL POTENTIAL IN CLDX", he, the journalist, gets the link to that article deleted!!!
    What comes to your mind?
In yesterday's comment I said- He is padding you on the back, while feeling for a soft spot where to stick a knife.
CLDX is a small biotech company, that finances its research by the sale of treasury shares. The "short funds" and other shorts are scums, leeches and blood-suckers, who prevent small biotechs, their chance to discover and bring new drugs to suffering patients. Every once in a while the shorts get burned badly. Look at ONXX, MDVN. At CLDX the shorts shall be severely punished!!!

CLDX will be trading in the teens by the end of this year, either because of good additional results and/or by a takeover offer by a major pharmaceutical firm.

  • Celldex Therapeutics (CLDX) takes a hit in the post session after releasing mixed preliminary results from randomized Phase 2b tests of CDX-011 antibody drug conjugate in patients with advanced, heavily pretreated breast cancer. Shares -8.5% AH.  [View news story]
Well done CLDX!!! Now I forgive you for screwing up the attendance form for ASCO-12. Or was it done on purpose? A Machiavellian thought.
After the misguided shorts started selling in AH from 5.12 to 3.40, I bought at really fantastic price, at 3.57 3.60 3.80 3.87, enough to give these all back to the shorts at 10, 12, 15.

  • More on Dendreon (DNDN): Q1 EPS beats on an adjusted basis but misses on a net basis due to one-time severance expenses. Net product revenue for the quarter was $82M, boosted by higher sales of Provenge, compared to $27M for the same prior year period. Shares -8.4% AH.  [View news story]
DNDN has been bruised by shorts, charlatans and all sorts of con men. This last quarter shows a company GROWING. And growing with a revolutionary product. First in class are leaders. We must be patient. A major will buy DNDN for$30+.

Excellent report!!! Beat on the top line, and the bottom line if the one-time severance expenses are excluded.

  • Dendreon's Provenge And JNJ's Zytiga Both Had Strong Early Sales [View article]
It is my hunch, just a hunch that the Asian sub-terranean Pharma industry is preparing a good generic Zytiga look-alike, to take advantage of the high price of the legal product. Same as Viagra, Lipitor and others. If a bottle of 120 Zytiga pills, a one month's supply at a cost of $5000., the Asian cloners could make a huge profit by selling a similar product for one tenth of the price. Similarly when the MDVN pill gets the OK from the FDA, you can bet, a similar generic product will appear.
BUT they cannot clone Provenge, as it is aimed at individual use.

    Hello Ted,
Here is my comment to Mr. Smith's blog dated January 31,2012.

    Hello Mr. Smith,

When comparing Provenge to Zytiga, you have forgotten one important thing: Namely the BAGGAGE of Zytiga. Taking Zytiga involves taking 4 pills daily for 6 months i.e for 182 days, without stopping and concurrently taking Prednisone, which is cortisone, a punishing drug, which weakens the immune system, and lowers the overall well being of the patient. I was prescribed a daily 40 mg. of Prednisone for 10 days ONLY, to stop my chronic cough. I coughed incessantly for 7 months, having undergone all types of computer tomography, and other unpleasant tests. After having taken the prescribed Prednisone for 10 days, I was very weak and depressed. In fitness before I lifted and pressed 120 pounds, and after Prednisone, I could hardly lift 15 pounds. Thank God I have no prostate cancer or other prostate problems. But I do have experience with Prednisone, a debillitant drug. Therefore when I read about Zytiga, I immediately reacted. Also the cost of the Zytiga regimen is $30,000. In no way can Zytiga be taken concurrently with Provenge, because Provenge depends on a strong immune system. The Prednisone will weaken the immune system. Provenge is an elegant new science that is infused over a period of 3 weeks. That's all. Your article yesterday caused the DNDN to drop more that 4%, as some yeki potz on a Hedge Fund trading desk, sold more than a million shares. The American predilection of taking pills for any ills true or imagined will come to haunt you. DNDN is now conducting studies if their technology may apply to other cancers such as kindney and breast.
Should these studies prove to be positive, then the DNDN shares will reach lofty levels of more than $100. each.
