  • Public Venture Capital: Turning Micro-Caps Into Macro Wealth Builders [View article]
The keys to successful nanocap investing:
Find a company that offers a competitive advantage in a very Big investing trend.

At How To Find Big Stocks (http://bit.ly/wbJvRS), we use our "Big Stock Disruption Ratio"..The size of the mkt oppty divided by the mkt cap of the company.

We then use our 10 point check list to determine if we have found a Big Stock.
You're right, the PVC offers an excellent way to outperform the averages, if you are diligent with your research.

  • Why Revolution Lighting Technologies Is A Sell On The News [View article]
Nobody relies on Yahoo for anything any more.

Times Square seems like pretty good validation of the technology.

You sure about that market cap value? SEC says it's 1/10th of what you think it is.

  • Facebook Won't Buy PeopleString (PLPE.OB) Because Google Will Beat Them To It [View instapost]
    Agree.
I have been saying PLPE was toast for a while.
The large portion of their revenues came from members paying premium fees..for services that were promised but never delivered.
The original concept of PeopleString was a great idea (getting paid for your daily traffic) but mgmt used gimmicks to create the illusion of growth.
CEO never gave shareholders the time of day..instead carny Bruce Van Heel, through those conference calls, did a great job of showing the future of PLPE. 5 mins of listening to that guy was enough to realize this was a disaster.

  • On Track Innovations: David Stone, I'm Calling Your Bluff [View instapost]
Have you been watching the failings of OTIV projects? Have you read the financial results of this company for the past 10 years?

There is NO MONEY in the hardware side...just ask the leader VivoTech.

The quicker management sells the hardware business (preserves the $27m), the better off we are. The ONLY potential this company has is their patent portfolio, which is being handled by individuals much more competent than the Bashans.

The Bashans just keep collecting paychecks for ineptitude. the Board wont make any changes because they are too close with the Bashans.

So yes, I say call all of OTIV's customers and convey what a poor job they have done, and are doing, managing this company.

All this company needs is an experienced patent firm, which they already have.

p.s. several people have taken David Stone up on his offer to resign from the Board. Shareholders are desperate for a change, David Stone resigning would have been a great start but apparently his resignation offer wasnt credible.

  • On Track Innovations: David Stone, I'm Calling Your Bluff [View instapost]
Count me in as someone that would like to see someone (any one that isn't a crony of the Bashans) else in his Board Seat.

The entire inept, management team needs to go as well. Shareholders have suffered long enough.

Perhaps posting David Stone's email address, so other shareholders can ask him to resign too?

It might be a good idea to contact OTIV's customers and let them know about David Stone's offer to resign AND how unhappy shareholders are as well.

  • On Track Innovations (OTIV)-Reasons For Recent Increase In Share Price [View article]
With VivOTech shutting down, this space is consolidating quickly. Love JoTeng's optimistic 7-10xs buyout number.

If the TMobile suit is settled, that number might be a real possibility.

  • On Track Innovations (OTIV)-Open Letter To Board Of Directors [View article]
    Dixhills well said.

"For the past 10 years the board of directors have overseen these two rob the shareholders not only with their personal stock options, but paid bonuses based on revenue and not profit. They are just as culpable in allowing this to continue.

The board of directors has failed to have the shareholders best interests in mind and have become too cozy with the Bashan Family. Let's get back to basics and you decide if the board and management should be replaced.

The metrics are simple and history tells us this company performance and oversight has been a failure."

In my opinion, this stock has been the "piggy bank" for the Bashan Family. Using US capital to support their failed business practices for many years, meanwhile allowing a very incompetent management team to be rewarded for this.

At some point both mgmt and the Board have to be held accountable for this..the question is when, and by whom?

    GGPique,
"the right technology with the wrong guys doing the launch and controlling the company"

Coming from a guy with your track record, that speaks volumes.
You have to wonder how many potential customers feel the same way..perhaps it is time for a change.

  • A Look At Near Field Communications Secure Element Chip Suppliers [View article]
I suggest reviewing OTIV as a player in this space.
A recent licensing agreement and a suit against TMobile has this company poised to be a big player in this emerging space.

  • The Near Field Communication Chip Market Will Be Huge [View article]
Probably the purest IP NFC play is OTIV.
A multi billion dollar corp licensed their technology and TMobile was notified that they are infringing.
While they have minimal revs ($50m) they worked with Visa and MC to create the standards for NFC.
