  • 3 Good Reasons To Sell BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust [View article]
Malevy & Always dubious, This line of discussion help's us better understand "BPT". The third quarter has always been low distributions but they still pay us. At our {my} age thats the gage we use because we don't have time for growth on stocks. Watching "Whiting" destroy so many peoples retirement income keeps us fearful. That seemed to be a calculation on their part, a deliberate crime. Thanks for this info. It helps with knowledge on this subject.

Chinaren, Keep watching "BPT" and commenting. Your summaries are on target. Actually, I have watched this stock and it never fails to bounce back. It will be interesting to observe the next move. The way you explain your observation of this stock is easy to understand. Thanks.

Million $ Man, I have not heard "take cash distributions and let your cost basis decline and continue with a 10% toward yield". Never thought of it in that context before.

Alex, I have been rereading these comments and wonder if they are all null and void now that we have the middle east warring. Everything has or will change. Can you keep us posted? Thanks

Million $ Man, I would like your 2 cents on what is going to happen in the future with the middle east on fire. How will "BPT" and "Oil" play out. If just one oil tanker goes down I think the Strait Of Hormuz choke point will be at risk. By the way, we "ALL" did not complain. Enjoy your banter. And I already bought my 50,000.00 dollar pick up with my "BPT" distributions. It's great.

  • U.S. Crude Oil Storage Capacity: There's More Available Than You Might Think [View article]
Michael, Will the "Strait Of Hormuz" choke point be in trouble if Israel dumps on Iran. Won't we be selling oil at a faster rate than we can handle? Netanyahu's speech seems to indicate we may be setting up this scenario? Most of our pipelines are heading toward the Gulf, refineries also. Lots of shipping out of there also. Thank You.

  • Howard Hughes, Book Value, And Oil [View article]
I met Howard Hughes once in Modesto, Ca. He asked if I had some money for him to get a cup of coffee and I handed him a dollar I believe. He had on his signature long coat and hat and was asleep on the ground. When I think of that happening I have to smile because I had called the police to check on him and make sure he made it to the cafe alright. The police actually came to my house to let me know he was having coffee and was fine.

  • Seadrill's Dividend Cut; The Analysts Weigh In [View article]
April May - Whiting caused me a lot of the type of pain your going through but I reinvested in "BPT" for income dividends and am very happy with it. The distributions {dividends} do vary each quarter but just about everyone that owns it loves it. We have an accountant that does our taxes and so far we have not had a problem. Some people are afraid of "BPT" but it has served us well. Of course no one knows how the stock market will react each day so it is all a gamble. Good luck.

hallereugene@gmail.com I ment the reply to address your last paragraph, "Think what will happen if there is a hint" and asked you if you think the "Blackout" in a major city is a response from a foe? Sorry I was not clear enough.

Is this why we are having "Blackout" in the news this morning in a major city? A reminder of our vulnerabilities?

  • BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust: Where Is The Stock Headed? [View article]
Bill, Thank you for making us stay alert. I still make more with these dividends {distributions} than any other stock I can find. I got in at the seventy dollar range and try to be alert with you and "A Prudent Investor". I have seen this go down to the $62.00 level but we don't usually buy when it goes over the $80.00 level. Yes we will have to get out eventually and buy something new or buy this at a lower price. But we need to get in on those dividends as long as we can and out before $79.00. I will settle for the $2.25 range and be happy but am glad you help us and keep us alert. I am not intelligent in this field as you two are and happy to see your names come up with these articles.
