  • Update: Tesla Deliveries Guidance Implications [View article]
Anyone see a resemblance between Paulo Santos and John Peterson???

    Prolifically and Persistently wrong.....

I think the thing to remember is that whatever either one says and however many ways they try to justify their positions, in the end, they are just wrong.

  • High expectations lead GoPro to tumble post-earnings [View news story]
And the DOW dropping 317+ points today couldn't have anything to do with it right?

  • Tesla Motors beats by $0.07, beats on revenue [View news story]
They don't miss a beat do they?

Good to see they "have also chosen to slightly accelerate our investments in production capacity and the Gigafactory".

    Note to Paulo:
Also looks like North American Demand is increasing.

"Model S orders, and thus demand, continue to grow even in our most established markets. In both North America and Europe, Q2 Model S orders increased sequentially at a much faster rate than for the rest of the automotive industry. Accordingly, we believe these markets remain under-penetrated. We expect demand to continue to increase worldwide as we continue to grow our customer support infrastructure and broaden the appeal of our products, and as consumer awareness improves."

  • Only One Thing Lacking In GoPro [View article]
I like your analogy. Having been an early adapter and being on my 4th generation GoPro, I can relate.

Even I have been identified by my ever present helmet mounted GoPro. I didn't wear it last week (Which is rare) and someone came up and asked; Where's your GoPro?

I'm not sure we'll see the $30.00 price any time soon. The price might have to be adjusted up to $40.00.

  • Tesla: What About The Model X? [View article]
"We all know the vast majority of drivers if CUVs ans SUVs are not "outdoor hobbiest", but are soccer moms and people who couldn't tell poison ivy from lettuce."

Is that so? Can you please provide the data that proves what "We all know"

    Let's be honest.

You have no idea how big the market segment of Kayakers, Surfers, Stand Up Paddlers, Skiers, Bicyclists, Hang Gliders, people who go to Home Depot or Ikea and want to strap something to their roof will be.

Read my post. I suggest having an option of a Model X without Falcon wing doors. I never suggested that they should not be offered as an option.

Why limit the market segment to those who want Falcon Wing Doors? Why not include both options?

No one is saying your wife, or anyone else who wants them, shouldn't be able to get Falcon Wing Doors. So what is your point?

The Model X will need an option of not getting the Falcon Wing Doors to really succeed.

The Falcon Wing Doors will not allow for carrying kayaks, canoes and other larger toys. Many people who live outdoor lifestyles depend on their vehicles to take their toys with them. Note the boat in my icon, I need to be able to carry at least 4 such boats when I take friends out on the river.

Elon Musk has said that he is a fan of optionality, Full size roof racks is an option that needs to be added.
