  • 18% Yielding CEFL Trading At A Discount To Effective Intrinsic Value [View article]
IMHO---both the articles and the comments can be helpful- and thanks to all..
What seems to be forgotten here is that it is up to the investor to monitor and
place STOPS that seem to be approp. for ones level of risk and that, in combo. with some competence in viewing charts, will for the most part take care of it.
For me, in this way the 2x's become more lucrative and less risky. Try it- you'll like it- also keeping and eye on the x-div. dates etc.

  • How Far The Gold Sell-Off Could Go, And Strategies That'll Save You [View article]
To write about Gold and the coming price of gold you have to then anticipate doing the following using the current spot price and then multiply that by 2.73 to get the
number of negative comments on your opinion, and also divide that no. by 57 to get the positive comments.

  • 18% Yielding CEFL Trading At A Discount To Effective Intrinsic Value [View article]
So, CEFL still seems to be a better choice for a high div. play vs. the all the CEFs (which ones in paretic.) despite the issues discussed (very educational at that) - so why not just use stop-loss-limits at ones
tolerance level and skip the problems noted by InteractiveInvest....?
The articles and comments are very helpful. Thx.

  • A Leveraged, High-Income Portfolio Yielding 14% From UBS [View article]
Great article and comments. Here seems to be my conundrum and any suggestions will be appreciated: currently have positions (not large) in BDCL,CEFL,MORL and
unsure what the best approach is then to DVHL- which seems to replicate the contents of the pref. three to some degree- so Add DVHL or add to the current positions or expand the other 3 positions...
    Thanks,
    s

  • Are You Chasing Yield In Retirement? [View article]
Always appreciate your articles- very helpful.
Comparing the indexes for sectors and sub-sectors against the major
markets (ex. $SPX....) will show i think that MLPs., REITs, HlthCare,
etc. will show positive results that include very good DYs and Div. growth.
Agreed that broad diversification, smaller positions sizes, rebalancing
and sector rotation are very important. Just gotta stay on it- not asleep
at the wheel. Keep up the good work and education.

    Hi,
Thanks for an interesting article and the education that goes with it. Good food for thought and information search. Don't be dissuaded by the ever present negative slammers, & just remember that the comments that are stimulated are equally as helpful for the decision making process.

Keep up the very helpful work.

And, what about the potential for cuts in the yields out of necessity as the share price drops ... Many things to think about before pulling the trigger on the 'sale'
prices. Can not wait for the the cont. of the series- thx. BDCBuzz !
