  • Apple cut to Sell at Standpoint over moral reasons [View news story]
I hear Apple is opening up a church at its new spaceship headquarters and hiring occupy wall st as independent wage sensitivity consultants , so once that news gets out everyone will know the real Apple and the stock will pop again

  • Apple's Samsung Problem Can't Be Solved [View article]
Yeah a 3% dividend is the majic number to get value investors interested. Yeah right, the 2.65 % dividend now isn't enough but once it hits that extRa . 35 % then it's off to the races. What if apple buys amazon with their 200 foward pe ratio can apple then get at least a quarter of Amazons pe ? So apple at a 25 pe would be what $1100 a share? They can buy amazon for cash and still have 15b in the bank. And unless you can predict the future all your doing is taking the easy assumption that average selling price will go down. You haven't even taken into consideration what they'll do with that cash and what they will buy with if if anything and any new products they may have in the pipeline. Now that samesung has whiffed with their new s4 it's just a matter of time before apple starts to fly again based on future perception without even having to release anything. Why do guys like you think 3% is the majic number for dividend Investors , that always makes me laugh. Your article is just the simple and obvious way of looking at things there's nothing special to see here there is no foresight at all.

Everyone's forgetting about the UNKNOWN. The what ifs. Has everyone forgotten that Apple releases a major new product innovation every 3 years since the first iPod. This year will be 3 years again. All you people with the I did the dcf and its worth 500 line seem to forget your already discounting what 137 billion and counting can do for a stock price. If they BUY shares and everything remains equal Apple's stock should trend higher than 500. IF they come out with a new tv all eyes will be on the new Apple product as it will be different from the same ol same ol samsung or lg tv. What about text books on iPads what if that market takes off. Your dcf models have discounted Apple as a 3 or 4 product company, they could come out with a couple crappy plastic phones and blow out the competitors then what will happen when everyone's selling for a loss and hanging on to dear life like htc rimm nokia and Sony are doing. Point is the game isn't over yet. I believe a tv will be out and also a new iPhone with a bigger screen to add to the size they have now. Either way unless you have a crystal ball good luck with the 500 number because the only guys I see innovating are Apple and Google the rest on these boards are just pissing in the wind as they chat and lord knows what else their doing on their iPhones.
