  • Retirement Investors Should Take Advantage Of Misguided Fear [View article]
Helicopter Ben - you've done it again! The frightening part of this RS, is that these educated, powerful leaders of finance, need to test market sentiment at all. Yo Ben! Just some friendly advice - on your next fishing trip, don't pull the drain plug to see if the water comes in or goes out until you're back on shore. Ah well.I suppose I should be grateful. Once again the blue light specials are coming on and my add to - is underway.

Double - talk RS? Yes. From a different part of the same world, I offer a similar condition. "In as many words as possible, convey a message whose meaning can only be interpreted as slightly less transparent than mud". This procedure is called - Gobbledegook.......Rom

  • A Sip Of The Zynga Kool-Aid [View article]
"Just between you and me" (respectfully) the last thing I want Z to do is expend energy on caring about investors. I want all of their money and strength and smarts brought to bear on growing the company. This does not include throwing money back at investors.

Consider (for a moment) that on line gambling is not part of the future for Z. We've got a co. that sells entertainment. It is the largest of it's kind on the planet and a huge cash stash with almost no debt. At todays price, if they only get back to their IPO, I will almost triple my money. They are, however, hosting on line gambling in Europe. So between "the house" and the gambler, who always walks away with the lions share?

No, I will not be drinking the Kool-Aid for now - I will wait until I've filled my newly acquired hot tub to imbibe. Long ZNGA and going longer......Rom

  • The Young And Restless Retirement Portfolio: Stay The Course [View article]
I have ZNGA in my retirement portfolio (it's my "wildcard" ). Wildcard money I designate - expendable. Of all the Y&R choices, this is my favorite. I expect it to be kicked up and down a good bit by day and swing traders, but that's ok. When Z's already winning games for fun numbers are compounded by positive gambling results, I expect one of two things will happen. There will be an almost immediate bid to buy out - or - Z's IPO will become a distant memory. Thanks RS for the great article and for being so patient with the public in general. Long ZNGA and prepared to lengthen.....Rom

  • Team Alpha Retirement Portfolio: Going Long In A Scary Market [View article]
RS,excellent article and I really like those graphs.I agree with your bullish perspective on this mkt. - with provisions. The entire economy(in my opinion) is being held aloft by no other means than the FED pump. This is not a bad thing if it is maintained properly to allow that slow steady growth we seem to be enjoying now.A possible turning point is when we can no longer pay the interest on the debt we are creating to stay aloft and the rest of the world abandons the dollar as it's currency to buy oil.

I do not say that this WILL happen in the short or long term - I do say that (in my opinion) this is the course we are on.

This web site ,this author and all the commenters whose valuable contributions make any "pay for info" site, pale in comparison, have taught me that WHEN I err - let it be on the side of caution. I will continue to buy the stalwart divs and take profits perhaps a little more often than I used to.Building a larger cash position while keeping my hand in is a good way for me to go. Btw RS, I heard a bit of news..that the heads of central banks around the world, were going to meet (at some point in the not to distant) for the express purpose of "assessing the effects of continued financial activity".If nothing comes of it,at the very least they have my attention.......Rom

  • Mobile game Running with Friends is the first Zynga (ZNGA) title in the endless running genre. Just launched globally following a Canadian soft launch, the game amounts to a collaboration with popular console game developer Eat Sleep Play - this could be a sign of Zynga's efforts to keep R&D spending down as much as anything. Regardless, Zynga is hoping the game can add to the mobile momentum produced by Draw Something 2, as the company bets on "high-engagement" mobile titles to help spark a rebound. [View news story]
No question in my mind that ZNGAs' potential upsides far exceed it's possible paths to abject failure.Long ZNGA.....Rom

  • Potential New Dividend Winning Stocks For The Next 20 Years [View article]
Hello RS,I'm sure i'm in good company here when I say your pics comprise a large part of my portfolio.I am keeping a v-e-r-y watchful eye and ear on the FED (from whom this bull mkt. blessing flows) and considering a strategy that I would have your respected opinion on.I have heard inferences of 6.5% unemployment being a possible target no. for Big Ben to start tightening the purse strings.Well in advance of this I intend to set a % gain in equity sell point on each stock-say-25% and sell half the shares.I like the balance and quality in my port now,so any repurchase of same stock on pullback or reallocation of funds would be within that portfolio.Minimize risk - stay very much in play and accumulate profit - while turning gently toward the exit. RS,your valued direction if you please sir...Rom

  • Making Money Playing The Fed At Its' Own Game [View article]
Hello RS,In your well written and very important article, the sentence "It can all be traced back to the core issue, cheap money from the FED policies"- not only captures the essence, of the article, but predicts what must necessarily become the zeitgeist of an entire culture.

@JHM the transition to fulfill the last sentence of your comment has been underway(at full steam)since SD. said yes to interstate banking - credit cards.93 of every 100 dollars - today - exists only in the computer and the FED wants control of the last seven - bad.

RS old friend, i'm surprised at you."If I were a professional analyst"I didn't think you would consider such a personal downgrade.Take heart and let me remind you...You are what almost all analysts want to be, when and if they grow (or figure out which end is) UP.......Rom

  • Zynga's Deteriorating Outlook - Time To Move On [View article]
With respect,ZNGAs target market (like that of it's competitors) follows no brand or name. They subscribe to "fun".Whoever has the newest and funest today, may loose share tomorrow.Using this inherent volatility as an indicator of future viability is ,at best, self deception.

ZNGA is the largest social gamer on the planet. They are in business in on line gambling in Europe.Their R&D dept. is as good as any and better than most. They are debt free! At todays share price (in my opinion) they are the ripest plum on the tree for a buyout - or - if they only get back to their IPO, todays investment would almost triple.

ZNGA may not be the express elevator to the penthouse, but I don't mind taking the stairs. The potential upsides are to numerous and varied to ignore. Long ZNGA.....Rom
