I think there was some "insider trading" on the STZ/BUD deal. First they come out with the news that the DOJ has filed suit to block the deal, sending the stock down. I owned a lot of STZ and read an article on SA that STZ was a terrible company etc etc. I panicked and sold out my position. A few weeks later they modify the deal and the DOJ gives it's blessing. The stock goes up about 30%!
It wouldn't have made a difference this time but should be changed anyway. After they get the fiscal cliff resolved and figure out a way to pass a budget, create a million jobs etc......
Excellent point on the GM bankruptcy. I don't understand why Romney didn't come back on Obama and say something like "I've got news for you... GM DID go bankrupt!!" Also the bond holders got the shaft. I agree with Clint Eastwood that Obama's presidency is the biggest hoax ever perpetuated on the American people.
I think it's very possible that Romney will win the popular vote but Obama will win the electoral vote. It seems that in this day & age they should do away with the electoral vote. All a candidate has to do is win a state by one vote and he gets ALL of the electoral votes. Is that fair?
