  • Free Falls Are Fun, Until They Aren't [View article]
    George,

Do I recall you "wishing for more volatility" a few weeks ago? Be careful what you wish for. I think we've had about all the "fun" we needed. Time for a break.

  • Apple: Here's Why The Stock Will Take Out $140 Before The End Of May [View article]
There was an article in the WS Journal, I believe, that claimed there "may be" defective parts in the watch. This is what supposedly caused the drop on Thurs.. Don't know what caused the reversal on Fri. OOPs, just saw the comment by Magarv.

It's not dead in China and India so that's where we'll be shipping our excess coal.

  • Coal: The 'War On Coal' - Or 'Creative Destruction' - Continues [View article]
In 2008 Obama said " If someone wants to build a coal fired plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them. Under my plan, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." Is it any wonder that our economy is struggling and job creation is so weak?

I have another account at Capital-One Sharebuilder and they don't allow cash covered put sales. Like you said "Why not". Enjoy your articles and comments.

  • The $500 Apple Put: Backing Up The Truck On Buy Backs [View article]
Apple seems to be a good stock to make money on. I sold a $500 put expiry 2/28 when it was at $506 a couple of weeks ago. Probably should have just bought the stock but ... who knew? Just sold a $550 call expiry 2/28.... takes care of some of our incidental expenses. This way I don't mind if it takes a breather for the next week. Rather than bash the company just find somewhere else to invest and good luck.

What do your dreams tell you about Apple? I'm reading about an i-pod Christmas and $600/shr. Are these just sugarplums dancing in my head?

Timely article... looks like we've 2 days of inflection. In one of your recent articles you mentioned that you don't like to buy back call options to prevent being called. It's difficult to know what the stock is going to do but in one of my trades I was put Apple stock @440. This was when the pundits were saying it was going down to below 400. I sold a call at 460 and the stock started going up. I bought the call back and still own it, thank goodness. That would have been a 10k mistake to sell it.
