  • A Diversified, Safer Way To Hedge Against Stocks Using ETFs [View article]
Correlation of ZROZ to S&P 500 is -0.40 and TLH to S&P 500 is -0.42. Seems like if you're worried about stocks going down you would look at financial instruments that moved in the opposite direction.

  • All-Season ETF Portfolio [View article]
Thanks for the article. I have been trying to create a similar portfolio for many months now and have been looking at multi-asset ETFs such as: IYLD, GYLD to go along with equity ETF: VTI and commodity ETF: GCC. I am also looking into some closed-end funds that have floating rate debt. The diagram is very helpful to show if I'm on the right track.

  • Open Letter To ETF Industry: Create A Better Dividend Growth Product [View article]
What you describe sounds like an actively managed fund. An ETF should not have a frequently changing prospectus. I agree with Mr. Aloisi that a closed-end fund would work better. I think with the constant maintenance an ETF would just evolve into a High-Yield dividend ETF. It's a good idea to pursue.
