  • Apple's iPhone 6 Will Be A Monster [View article]
Newer samsung's don't favor much better (but you conveniently left that out).

Face facts, samsung is a copy and a VERY incomplete one at that. Also, iPhone 5s is at least TWICE as fast at practically anything, with better battery life, support, integration, real iPad (not just another phone OS on your sammy Tablet) iLife iWork, iCloud, etc...

All that for like $50 'savings' to get the sammysung (and worth $200 less in two years). What a DEAL.

  • A Clue That Apple Is 'Cooking' Something Up [View article]
Market expectation? The 'expectations' were ramped up far beyond what were rational or projected. Apple beat their estimates, easily. The analysts can't predict what Apple is going to do from one quarter to the next, their new game is ramping estimates way beyond what they know will be reported, so their masters can short. Apple blew away their own guidance, which was well received when they offered it (for once) and yet the 'analysts' kept ramping up estimates (and raising the stock with it) on the way to earnings, only to (magically, one would have to presume) 'disappoint' on earnings. (How convenient if you are playing the game and shorting at ever earnings.)

So, what has happened? The game took the stock down $50 a share, then it came back nearly to the point before the announcement, and then settled in the middle, $25 between pre and post earnings. There is another earnings coming though, and they will ramp it again for that one. Just watch (and learn, apparently).

IMHO, the worst possible move for Apple (and what a LOT of haters would LOVE to see) would be to toss out Cook because so many are trying to profit not just form owning Apple, but from trading it.

  • 2014 Will Be The Tipping Point For Apple [View article]
Mike, it's incredibly disingenuous for you to mention facts, as you have aptly illustrated, many times over, that you operate independently of them.

All the investors, Mike? What about people who bought Apple, that company you can't understand, at $13, before it split twice and ran to $720? Would they have had any 'material success'? Would you even recognize the difference between a fact and a supposition?

  • Apple iPhone 5C Is No Flop [View article]
Traders will always run it down on earnings. So what? Either you trade with them and risk your future growth or you don't. Keep in mind APPL got hammered even when the iPhone was announced, and even harder then the iPad came out. This was the only phone in the past 20 years that mattered and the only tablet that even begun to sell (as well as the one they ALL COPY) even after Billy Gates was pushing them for like 20 years prior. I'm not kidding about any of this.

I always used to laugh when someone said Apple was a 'wall street darling'. Never.

The only APPL "miss" was the ridiculous estimates from the paid 'analysts' which were contrived to show a miss from the start. They ramp them up so high to get the supposed 'news' they want. Apple easily beat their own guidance which was reasonable and far more optimistic than the market, at the time it was RELEASED. (Not after the banks own estimates were ramped up to be purposefully unobtainable).

Market has Apple pegged for no growth. I'll take that bet.

Ever wonder why Apple used to release low ball guidance? This is the reason.

  • Cheap iPhones And Buybacks Won't Solve Apple's Problems [View article]
This isn't how it works. If he sells, it will go up. Only if he buys will the price go down.

So you are thinking that BBery couldn't possibly do any worse than they are now? You might be right about that.

What do you call the Nest acquisition if not 4B wasted on a thermostat? These things are showing up in droves on ebay now. True, the engineers did used to work at Apple.

Google wants to break into the devices market (far more than their baby steps so far). I think they just want to copy Apple in hardware (as well as what they have already done in software after copying iPhone with Android.)

  • Apple: Every Vote Counts [View article]
I have an SE/30 that still works. They never made an SE/40, that had to have been a typo.

One can make far more money trading than being an actual long 'investor'. However, one is easy and the other is not.

700-550=150. 150 is the increase in price needed to get back to 700… That same 150 increase is only 27% of current 550. You are way, way off.
