What Does Quality Online Video Look Like?

This has already been done, it's called iTunes. Quality there is very good, a nice trade off with quick access. Hardly any need for you to form a group, but have fun reinventing the wheel.

I only wish NBC and the others would all agree to content in iTunes. When I am watching online, I can't be bothered with commercials, and it's a colossal waste of bandwidth. I'll pay a couple of bucks for a 30 minute video, just leave out the commercials and let me watch it when I want, and on my iPod.

I hope MSFT does go in debt to buy Yahoo. As if MS didn't already have their own failed search division, and failed internet division.

Expect a sucker punch from Apple about that time. Apple has in it's skunkworks, a dumbed down version of OS X that runs on any generic PC. It has far more going for it than any version of windows, still leaves a reason to buy a real macintosh, but could totally destroy MS's marketshare within months. Microsoft still has the toy business to fall back on with the Xbox line.

Apple Dropping Akamai in Favor of Google? I Don't Buy It

Apple should have Akamai and Google as well. Video streaming and viewing is going finally breakthrough on iTunes, and that it a huge bandwidth hog.

Perhaps Apple has a higher def video system they are ready to roll out. iPod touch is really taking off for younger people watching video on the go.
