RIM has no hope long term over iPhone. Their attempts to copy it so far have fallen far short. And using a Blackberry is like taking a trip back in time to the 90's once you try the iPhone.

Apple will do well and the stock will go down, as usual. Any other company's stock would double if they did half as well. That's OK, someday people will wake up and this APPL will go ballistic.
Perhaps when Apple has 'snow Leopard' done and announces a limited version for generic clones?

AAPL may yet buck this trend. They will be far less affected than any of the generic hardware producers, such as Dell or HP or the clone du jour. They are making money in ALL of their markets.
Wally world was not the way to go. People don't want to buy lousy products when things get tight, especially stuff they really depend on, such as computers.

Apple is stealing Microsoft's bacon. 'Enterprise' has gone Mac already, it's just not hit the CW yet. Just wait for the next earnings release.
There is a pattern with Apple products. Everyone on the 'street' dismisses them universally, until they become phenomena. Then the 'street' questions if they can ever come up with another mac/ipod/iphone, etc... Then the next game changer comes out and the cycle repeats itself. Eventually attitudes change, but that change is glacial.
iPhone has totally redefined the 'smart' phone as we know it. Same as the Mac did to the old fashioned DOS based computer, same as the iPod did to mere 'MP3 players'.
Why do a survey of stores that only sell a few brands and then present this as information? It's not information so much as it is limited facts. You might as well go to a trailer park or food stamp office and ask people there what laptops they buy or where they shop for diamonds, then declare a result based on that 'survey'.
