Wilson - The HKMA did not buy (at least not that I am aware of). What they did do was to transfer what was held in London to the new vault they built at the HK airport. Basically repatriating the holdings back into the country - where it truly belongs.

I spent 2 years reviewing articles and had pretty much made up my mind that I would check out Panama. But I first took a vacation to Costa Rica, and the rest is history. Have lived here or in South. Nicaragua for the past 4 years or so and love it. There are many options in Latin American coutries if you desire residency, Or just be at PT and check out some new local every 3 months for 72 hours minimum.

Most countries down here do not have income taxes, do not recognize capital gains etc. But as long as you hold US citizenship, you still have to pay Uncle Sam. That you are stuck with for your life...

...The 2007 drill program was designed to upgrade much of the existing 13.1 million ounce inferred gold resource (564 million tonnes grading 0.72 grams per tonne gold and 0.18% copper) to the measured and indicated categories and to pursue extensions of the deposit to the south, north and at depth.

Of the 37 holes drilled in 2007: (i) 14 holes (totaling 6,607 meters) were drilled as in-fill holes within the limits of the known deposit; (ii) 16 holes (totaling 5,135 meters) were drilled to test for extensions to the south; and (iii) six holes (totaling 3,196 meters) were drilled to test for extensions to the north. In addition, all six of the holes drilled to test the northern extension and all 14 of the infill holes were extended beneath the limits of the previous resource estimate to test for depth extensions of the deposit. Finally, one hole was drilled to test for a southwest offset of the deposit...

Incorrect. Doug Casey got out of gold back in the mid-'90s and remained bearish for over 4 years. Those that did not heed his advise (me included) saw our holdings drop significantly.
