  • What Are Tesla's Prospects For 2015? [View article]
Because regular folks don't care about EVs...just shows you proof that TEZLA is a car for the rich...niche market...and that the Model 3 will not sell in the numbers that everyone thinks...people don't care about green energy...only dumb guilt ridden rich folk think that buying "green" saves the planet...pure idiocy...

@JRP3 There is a big difference between the Insight and the TEZLA...Insight much more convenient...no range anxiety...plus it's affordable...TEZLA is a car for the rich...the model 3 will cost 400,000yuan in china so around $65K http://bit.ly/17h30QB with a 50% mark up that's a whapping $43K in the US...alot more than the 35K that MUSK is talking about...so indeed TEZLA a niche market for the rich....for REALZ

He has to, he loves Space X ....moving on...other manufacturing companies are stepping up...VW...BMW...Audi...so TEZLA will just be slow deathing for a while...

  • No Excuses: Falling Gasoline Prices Are Impacting Tesla's Sales [View article]
Dave...I say it's more destructive because you still need that oil energy to produce the lithium battery pack...so after you mine the minerals and metals (which run on those big dirty oil machines as an example) you are still left with the need of an energy source to produce the final product...

...Not only do we destroy the environment mining but on top we still need the oil to produce the lithium battery and really the whole TEZLA car...

...but you are wrong that it's dirty...I live in West Texas...in the midst of an oil patch...there's a new well being drilled 1000 years from my house as I type...there are 4 more surrounding my neighborhood...so no it's not dirty...it's pretty clean around here...

EVOHN ad JRP3 ...Hey geniuses! Which minerals are you talking about...and where will the energy source come from to recycles them and "shape" them into your so called resusables?

This post is for all of you gullible useful people that buy the TESLA because you think it helps the environment or reduces your footprint or somehow you feel better as a human being by not contributing to global warming...

There's no such thing as clean energy or reducing your footprint...If you are serious about emission you should get yourself a natural gas car -- it burns the "cleanest" of all energy sources. What people like you don't get is that you completely miss the point that Tesla needs energy to run and it simply stores that energy generated by a conventional power plant in a battery.
But now to the most inconvenient truth about TSLA is the fact that the battery, TESLA's battery technology relies on Lithium, which is sourced via open cut mining - the most destructive form of mining. Also Lithium Ion battery has more Graphite than Lithium - also sourced via traditional mining...Thus ELON MUSK and TESLA are contributing to an environmental disaster...and SO ARE YOU! by buying a TEZLA ( As MUSK PRONOUNCES IT as it's much more Zophisticated --- make sure you pronounce it TEZLA from now on too...)
What you foot reducing carbon reducing twits don't understand and must learn is that there is no such thing as "clean energy". We can get "cleaner energy" but we will always be drilling into the ground in some fashion, even if just to get the copper for the electric generator, the PV solar cells are manufactured from rare-earth element, solar implicates mining as well...

In conclusion...the production of the TEZLA can be even more destructive after all than the production of oil to power our ICE cars...

Masco, Masco...my point is the environmental disaster that Lithium mining creates...it's doesn't matter whether you recycle your battery pack or not...Just the creation of LIthium batteries in itself is the disaster and TESLA is sweeping it under the rug...

Here's a few examples of how TSLA contributes to Global Warming, pollution and environmental Destruction via Lithium Ion Battery production

So yes indeed...my post is correct...Also how is it fair for people that drive Teslas not to contribute to road taxes?
