  • The New Era Of BP's Share Buyback [View article]
I guess you never owned any losers that were still stock (incentiviced)? I have and they were still over payed and got huge stock bonuses to make up for the loss in there share price. Tell me, how did that create a incentive?
And yes shares are handed too them if they deliver for share holders or not.
As to point (no. 1) You are right it is not stealing because it is legal, but they still are way over compensated.

Not sure why all the fuss about stock options? For 30 years officers of corporations have been stealing from the true owners of the corporations(the shareholders) and the shareholders have nothing to say about it because the CEO'S stack the board with friends and fellow CEO'S. Your point of having skin in the game, what skin, the shares are handed to them they do not buy them. If they were paid $100,000 a year and took the rest of there compensation in stock I could go along with your thinking but not in the current deals. Finally, what does a union shop have to do with stock options?

"I'm only trying to convey my opinion based upon the facts as I see them. Best, Todd" Politicians have a lot to learn from you. Your statement clearly states, the facts as I see them. Most people simply believe that facts are facts, not simply their opinion or interpretation of figures presented to them.

You must be a short time holder. As a long time holder I have heard all his promises over the years and they were all B.S.. I must have been a idiot for believing in Ward because he is just like the former leader of Chesapeake.

It's my opinion this will be decided strictly along political ideology. It's always first and foremost CONTROL. Watch the show but not the man behind the curtain.

  • Veolia: A Breakout Value Play In Europe [View article]
Investors have also been irrationally opposed to Chesapeake's CEO pay. Aubrey McClendon earned $21M in 2010. Let's see,we started off 2010 at about $25 per share and finished the year at about $25 per share. That sounds like pay for performance to me. I am all for long term value but that's the way CEO'S should be payed, when the long term value is realized. We as stock holders got nothing while he walked away with $21,000,000?

Are you blind? When the oil companies are done swallowing the LNG companies then we will see a shooting star rise to the top in the availability and use of natural gas. Not one moment sooner. Last time I checked big oil still had the most money and the best lobbyists.
