  • Key Energy At $1: Priced Like An Option With Upside Potential To Match [View article]
"However, in 2012 this company only earned 5 cents per share and in 2013, it lost 14 cents per share. Key Energy has posted losses in 2014, and that has led disappointed investors into selling stock."

So, while oil was over 100, and the oil industry was expanding, this company starts to lose money. So, now, with oil at 55, we should buy this stock? What are they doing to turn around losses? Why did they start losing money / profits over the past few years?

  • Potash Is The Big Story Today [View article]
In a story by Bloomberg, Uralkali production cost is reportedly around 62 / ton which is the lowest of the potash producers. In addition, supposedly production will increase to 13 million tons from 10.5 today.
Bloomberg also reports that Uralkali is the only potash producer with direct rail deliveries to China. All of these facts will allow Uralkali to increase market share. The other potash producers can cut production at the expense of losing future market share and a decrease in sales / profits, or they can try to keep their market share (and profits) by producing more to compete.

  • What I Like About MGT Capital [View article]
The problem right now is that Medicare / Medicaid in May decided not to pay for virtual colonoscopy.

The other issue is that CT Colonoscopy requires CT scans whereas a normal colonoscopy does not. CT scans are increasingly coming under pressure since they give the patient a fairly high dose of radiation to achieve the scan whereas the normal colonoscopy does not. And, if there are polyps or other issues, then the patient needs to follow up with a normal colonoscopy to remove the polyps. Thus, going through 2 procedures instead of one. Given theses issues, I would prefer the normal procedure.
