"I think we all agree that amazon ratings are as meaningless as it gets especially when it comes to actual sales."

Would you like to present something to back up this statement that "we all agree" to? Or are you just saying stuff? Cuz I don't agree.

These are real satisfied customers. That is an indication of future sales. More satisfied than iphone 6 or galaxy 5 users as a whole. Yes, perhaps a smaller sample but statistically comparable.

Please don't speak for "we" because this "we" knows that their phones actually are great. Why? Because I actually use them, I don't go by hearsay. You should try one. It does take a little getting used to, because BB10 is designed as a multi-tasking powerhouse. This means you will have to learn something beyond pressing an app, and pressing a home button. It takes a little time to adjust and learn the navigation, but once you do it's like riding a bike! Or should I say ten bikes at once. At a very fast speed.

Rather broad meaningless statement angel. Steadily heading down over which time period? I can also point to time periods when it has been steadily headed upwards. Why do you and the author hate BlackBerry so much? What have they done to you?

Excellent. A better analysis than I have read from any Analyst. They all have their heads in the iSand.

Too bad you don't understand security very well. Sony also thought they did.

  • BlackBerry: Once The Golden Standard, Now Struggling To Be Relevant [View article]

Revenue decline. You forgot to mention profitability increase exceeding expectations. You're not listening to Chen. There was no expectation of short term revenue improvement as the company is streamlined.

BBM on hold. No it isn't BBM is fully functional and being monetized as this is typed. "Exactly how the chat software can be monetized is not clear." You haven't done your homework. I'm not going to do it for you.

"the more promising BES is still in the early stage. " No it isn't. BES has been around since before the iPhone, what are you talking about? Do your homework Mr. Cao before acting like an expert.

Lack of networking effect. "BB is very late to the smartphone game. "
Excuse me? BB pioneered the smartphone game.
"While the new additions to the family (Passport, Classic) are impressive devices, their lack of developer support means limited adoption by retail users."
Excuse me? These devices not only have native support they also run over 95% of Android apps installable immediately from Amazon app store.

  • BlackBerry: Let's Not Celebrate Just Yet [View article]
Why Mr Maurer would you advise people not to celebrate when they already are? Why the focus on revenue when the profits have beat expectations? This means a more efficient company. You have not listened to Mr Chen, who recently said "We told them that this quarter the revenue would be lower, and none of them listened. They jacked their revenue up," he said.

I'm sorry but the Classic is not a "cheap smartphone with appeal to a very limited audience. It is a serious premium enterprise quality phone designed to appeal to a very wide audience, business enterprises and professional users who require security, a rugged phone for one handed mobile use, plus legacy BlackBerry users who have not upgraded their Bold 9900's because of previously missing features.

Q3 was too early to report any phone revenue, even from the PassPort. They underestimated demand and sold out the first 200,000 lot immediately. Sales since then have been fourth quarter and the freshly announced Classic is already out selling Passport. So, no worries.

  • BlackBerry: Let's Not Get Too Crazy [View article]
Lets not get too crazy and consider that the Passport is the hottest selling innovative device to ever hit the market. Let's not get too crazy and understand that the Classic will draw back millions of previous BlackBerry customers. Let's not get too crazy and understand that there are even more innovative and feature packed devices currently under development. Lets not get too crazy and acknowledge that BlackBerry's QNX real time secure operating system and well placed for the Internet of Things as well as automobile infotainment systems being used by manufacturers such as Ford. Lets not get too crazy and realize that cross platform BBM is growing and being monetized. Let's not get too crazy and understand that Apples iOS and iPhone 6 are falling on their face with bugs and mechanical problems. The truth is crazy.
