  • Why Thornburg Mortgage Will Survive [View article]
Excellent analysis, thank you. I agree TMA has a better chance of survival with their ability to restructure their debt. This company is months ahead of many competitors in it's sector that will be unable to find cheap money for their debt load. At this point, I believe the January 2010 $2.50 calls are a buy at .05-.10.

  • Will Crude Oil Break $100/Barrel? [View article]
Millions of cars in China will be back on the roads and factories around Beijing will return to production after the Olympics are over and the restrictions on air-polluting activities are lifted. China demand will go up again. OPEC is talking about cutting production to keep prices higher. Oil will not see sub $100 again. Ever.

  • China Biotech Week in Review: Earnings, Deals and Drug Development [View article]
LTUS (Lotus Pharmaceuticals) reaffirmed 2008 guidance on Friday. That guidance of $13.8M USD in net income is about .29/share fully diluted...making the PE for LTUS well under 4.
As far as I can tell, this makes LTUS the best value in the China Biopharma sector today.

    Dear "weng ho teng"

I am an invrestor in the China Biopharma sector. Please stop spamming your penny stock MYST on every non-related article Seeking Alpha puts out.

MYST has NOTHING to do with CSKI, or the China Biopharma sector.

Your non-stop spam of MYST is abusive.

  • Sinovac’s Q1 Doubles Year-Earlier Results [View article]
LTUS reports early next week, and should have excellent results as well. I'm still amazed that the Jim rogers types aren't talking about China pharmas- they're all about ag., travel, energy, and online. But the China pharma sector is growing 20% (or more) yoy, and there are less pharmas competing for that bigger pie due to rapid consolisation. This puts them in an excellent position to continue to report the kind of growth we've seen so far in 2008 for the rest of the year IMO, and makes them among the most attractive of China investments right now.

  • China Pharma Delivers on Improved Financials Promise [View article]
The bottom line on ARs in these Chinese pharma micros is how it affects DSO (Days Sales Outstanding). In the case of CPHI, they're increasing and are now at an average of 191 days compared to 184 days last Q).
And, (although this will sound to some like spam), LTUS.OB (Lotus Pharma)for comparison has a much more favorable DSO average of about 90. This tells me that LTUS is converting their ARs into cash at a faster rate, and more successfully than CPHI.

  • China: More Evidence of Increasing Risks [View article]
Agree 10% with rufcrazy2. There are more than a few China microcaps traded in the US with 50-100% yoy income growth, trading at PE multiples that are absurd.

  • American Oriental Bioengineering Considering Several Acquisition Targets [View article]
I was surprised to see AOB drop 10% on it's annual report and conference call yesterday. As an AOB shareholder for just over 3 years now, I still see a bright future for the company with organic growth of 30% and plenty of cash for acquisitions.
I also believe LTUS (Lotus Pharmaceuticals) is worth a look here, as the company has plans for a nasdaq listing, and is currently trading at a PE of 3 based on 2008 make good target of .28/share, with over 60% income growth yoy.

  • China Biologic Products to Upgrade Plasma Production Facilities [View article]
I think a PE (based on 2007 income of .47/share) of 14 is a bit steep- especially for a pink sheet.

LTUS.OB (Lotus Pharmaceuticals) (based on 2007 income of .18/share) is trading at a PE of under 6 at $1/share.

Lotus Pharmaceuticals has the same torrid income and revenue growth (120% and 70% respectively) yoy that China Biologic has also, and is off the pinks.

You might want to do some more dd on LTUS.

  • Five China Stocks to Watch This Week [View article]
I agree these 5 stocks are all, for various reasons, "ones to watch." I am particularly bullish on SNEN over the long term, given the Chinese government's support of CNG growth combined with SNES's early mover advantage in the sector.

Additionally, there is one extremely undervalued China micro in LTUS.OB (Lotus Pharmaceuticals) that I believe is worth a closer look. This is a stock that has been oversold to the point where it now trades at a PE of 6 based on 2007 expected income of .18/share. The stock is thinly traded/unknown still, but that should change when their new IR firm is hired/announced.

LTUS has come off a triple bottom and was up 10% Thursday to $1.14/$1.20 on near-record volume and no news. Given the 100% income growth of LTUS yoy, their increasing margins, extensive drug pipeline, the hiring of a much needed IR firm which appears around the corner, and an extremely modest PE, LTUS.OB should be added to the list of "Ones to Watch".

    Cheers,

    XING isn't a train, it's a train WRECK.

"earnings" just announced show they lost .04/share in the last Q (which should have been filed over a month ago).

XING is a $5 stock, at best.
