  • It's Time To Buy Some Gold Miners [View article]
    > Do people really have such short term memories?
On Monday the world was going to end because china's gdp growth was three tenths of a percent below expectations.

Everybody forgot by tuesday. And today apparently BofA earnings tanked the Dow....

    yea makes perfect sense....

I'm trying to say people not only have short-term memories, but are also slow of mind

    > Its how the company is run and what your spending your money on.

Yep. Companies used their windfall profits to buy up exploration properties, mine expansions, other miners, ....

Everybody forgot. Because nobody is an "investor" these days. Its all trading based on momentum of the day, and whats hot.

And when scandals occur, people scratch their heads and wonder how it could have been prevented..

  • Hope For Barrick Gold's Pascua Lama Project, Guidance On Gold Prices And Miners [View article]
You should still consider intra-day trading of the index options SPY/DIA. Its like a yoyo...easy money. I sold puts i had on DIA at noon, and bought calls, and i'm still in the green.

  • Microsoft's Windows 8 Isn't A Flop ... Yet [View article]
Ashraff is a perma bull. He knows the latest developments in technology, and his articles are always insightful in that regard.

However, I wouldn't take his investment advice. Tech heads like him get carried away because they believe in the hype. Hype doesn't have an entry on the balance sheet.

If you followed Ashraff's advice on INTC, NVDA and AMD since Jan 2011, you're up a few measly bucks, if at all.

New developments in technology do not equate to capital gains, especially in big blue chip stocks. Don't believe the hype, be unemotional, and invest based on the balance sheet.

  • Misunderstanding The Monetary System Is Hazardous To Your Portfolio's Health [View article]
It doesn't create inflation because the money doesn't enter the consumer market. Payrolls, number of unemployed, number of people with no hope has not decreased.

Uncle Ben's money is not going to main street. Its being funneled to Wall St. and gambled. What do YOU think will happen once the market corrects? The market HAS to correct. Once the market corrects, these gamblers will have no fallback. They sold all their bonds....where will they get their yields from now?

Dow will get smashed this year. You watch.

Gold is not just about inflation....its a risk hedge.

  • The Fundamentals Don't Matter Anymore [View article]
    Something is very very wrong.

Even an amateur like me knows it. Thanks for your in-depth analysis, some of us out there appreciate it.

You won't find a lot of interest in articles with a negative outlook because everybody wants their 25% return...regardless of when the buy.

  • Labor Force Participation Rate Since 1987: Some Eerie Demographic Trends [View article]
The geezers spent borrowed money and lived a grand life, without questioning where the money came from, and what it cost, and what the future will look like. And now the future is here, and geezers want to share their "experience" of how to wreck economies, and bankrupt an entire generation. Boomers have caused the downfall of western liberal democracies. Anybody who thinks 2020 will be better than 2000 is delusional

  • Qualcomm: This Stock Will Be A Champion In 2013 [View article]
Funny stuff. When the whole market implodes none of this will matter. Technology is not immune from macro events.

There will be a major macro event this year. The running of the bulls in equities is over. Fake money pumping up equities to unprecedented levels.

If you don't have money to gamble with put it in high yield corporate bonds for the short term (e.g. NYSEARCA:ANGL) or NASDAQ:VCLT.

Put money in consumer staples when the time is right. Movements of a few basis points in monthly employment numbers are meaningless. Fundamentals are weak. Housing will plunge again.

  • Advanced Micro Devices' Latest Servers: Powered By Intel [View article]
What are you even on about? SLI and Crossfire are software driver features that use the PCI-E bus on motherboards equipped with multiple PCI-E slots.

It requires no "payment" of monies, or cooperation between Intel / AMD / NVidia.

AMD is a bungling company. They are only good at bungling. The stock spikes every now and then, when they get lucky with a fluke, but they have never sustained anything, in the history of their existence.
