  • 3 Very Different Exposures To The Marijuana Industry [View article]
Alan I have been following you for quite some time on this industry and value your insight. I heard your interview on Benzinga Thursday its unfortunate $TRTC was unable to obtain a license in Clark County. Have you had a chance to look into the relationship with $CIIX and Medicine Man in Colorado? Are you surprised Medicine Man did not receive a license in Nevada? Appreciate your feedback.

  • 5 Reasons MannKind Could Be The Best Performing Stock Of 2013 [View article]

    Joe,
You can add one more follower you your growing list, very impressive article.
I have not been a fan of $MNKD over the years. However, after reading that article I believe the risk reward is pretty compelling. I may have to look @ adding some shares to the long term hold account in the IRA. I may wait for a pullback but I will certainly keep it on watch.
    Excellent job!

  • Vringo: What You Really Need To Pay Attention To [View article]
I have been trading Vringo for well over a year and I continue to hold a long position adding anytime we dip below $3.10.
I believe in the management team and the long term story for this company.

A lot has been brought up recently about their business model and the fact that they are a patent "TROLL". We have even had The President of the United States throw in his two cents on the subject stating that these companies don't make anything or provide any service. What I find disturbing is the hypocrisy of it all. Why is it that smaller companies and individuals that are trying to unite to protect their intellectual property are considered trolls? Who knows what these companies or individuals may create in the future with the money they collect from the royalties of their patents.

Don't the big companies aggressively protect their patents?

Samsung,Apple,Microsof... to name a few. Aren't they also patent trolls? Because of the size of these companies and the deep pockets they have many inventors, and creators of intellectual property would not stand a snowballs chance in you know where going up against these big boys. I would imagine that many never even try. How many small companies have the giants destroyed because the little guy doesn't have the financial backing or the know how to get what they rightly deserve for their invention?

Whether its obvious or not shouldn't matter. Many things that have been invented and patented over my lifetime that all seem very obvious. I can't tell you how many times I see a new product or service and think to myself "Why didn't I think of that, its so simple and obvious." I am sure many of you have had the same experience.

Vringo is a young company I/P is a division of the company and not their sole business model. I believe the future is bright for the company. I personally would like to see the I/P division add more intellectual property owners to their fold once they have had a few wins and they are able to establish some licensing and royalty agreements providing cash flow.

I am looking forward to seeing what else Vringo has in store for us from the creative side of the company. Whether that is a new search engine, mobile dating service, new developments from Video Ring tones /Facetones, or something entirely new that we have yet to contemplate.

One thing is certain for me. This story is just beginning and I have a feeling Vringo will surprise us all and prove that they actually do make something and provide a service that is needed. This is only my opinion and only time will tell.

  • Medical Marijuana Inc.: I'm In It For The Long Haul [View article]
I am no longer in this stock I bought it @ .26 and sold it @ .42.

I believe where there is smoke there may be fire so after the negative article I decided to book some profit sit on the sidelines until some things get cleared up.

I am still watching because I do find the story compelling as the industry could be mammoth and this company appears to positioned to reap the rewards of being one of the first to market.

My question is this. I keep hearing and reading about all these patents.

Does the company have a list of exactly how many patents they have, along with the patent numbers, and expiration dates of each patent?

In my defense I haven't really researched this but it seams to me that could add some validity to the story and the company itself.
