  • Sandstorm Gold: Where Will The Growth Come From? [View article]
Nolan is looking more like a one hit wonder imo.. maybe too much cred went to him for SLW. His deals have not been very good so far, he's been alot more quiet, diluting shares like crazy, and the company is underperforming at the bottom line. SAND has lost its lustre.

Which bank was it? Why hasn't this been mentioned more by the pro SAND writers in their DD and analysis? And compare that to other streamers, SAND is the only one bludgeoned by this?

That explains the weakness in the share price lately.

  • Sandstorm's Impressive Portfolio And Growing Revenues Suggest Large Upside As Gold Rises [View article]
SAND has been massively underperforming gold and GDX, GDXJ since gold's rally from 1180. Somebody is selling into every little pop that SAND tries to rally with other miners.

Either Colussus situation is much worse than people think or that we know, or more bad news is coming.

The last piece on SA before your article addresses major concerns with SAND

    Not looking good for SAND.

  • Apple (AAPL +1.7%) rallies as the Street takes the launch of Samsung's (SSNLF.PK) Galaxy S IV, which has an impressive spec sheet but has seen mixed early reviews, in stride. Apple's sell-side fans are circling the wagons, with Gene Munster comparing the S IV to an 'S' iPhone launch. Nomura is less sanguine: noting the popularity of bigger displays and stating its checks indicate a bigger iPhone won't arrive in 2013, it thinks Samsung could overtake Apple in high-end smartphone shipments this year on the back of 35M-40M S IV and Note sales per quarter. [View news story]

  • VIX - Options Volatility Sonar: Monday Recap [View article]
    Hey Erick,

Looking at AAPL today do you think the trade by the big options player that you pointed out here

    http://bit.ly/Y6yang

has been closed? It really looks like AAPL wants to go below 500 and with Feb not too far off and the stock looking very bearish, the trader might get assigned millions of stock if the position isn't closed out already, and add that to the losses in the call spread. Appreciate your thoughts on this.

  • Apple (AAPL) has cut iPhone 5 component orders for calendar Q1 due to weaker-than-expected demand, sources tell the WSJ; display orders are said to be cut by ~50%. The Nikkei also claims display orders have been halved, albeit from an elevated level of 65M. The articles back up analyst reports of iPhone production and component order cuts, and raise the question of whether Apple needs a cheaper iPhone and/or one with a larger display to bolster its international share. Suppliers on watch: LPL, CRUS, OVTI, QCOM, BRCM, SWKS, TQNT, AVGO[View news story]
Everyone and their uncle were piling and being bullish on Apple in the high 600s and then the 700s when they were the darling, including you dummy. Now the MMs and useless amateur writers such as yourself and your uncles are bearish after the fact and 20% down, regurgitating rumor after rumor of negative Apple stories.

For every 1 apple bull that's left there's the hedgies protecting their covered calls, after-the-fact Ashrafs, and the CNBC shills lapping up the negative rumors and chanting the Apple is dead fanboy song every day junk like this gets released.

    Dummy.

  • Much like UBS and Raymond James, Evercore's Rob Chira is offering a mixed outlook for iPhone sales. He sees FQ1 (Dec. quarter) sales coming in at a strong 50M, but expects volumes to drop to 39M in FQ2. Estimating 49% of iPhone sales now involving existing customers (up from 32% a year ago), Chira is cutting his FY13 revenue forecast for Apple (AAPL -0.3%) to $182B (consensus is at $191.5B). He still sees 24M iPads being sold in FQ1, but now expects 10M of them to involve the Mini (up from a prior 8M). [View news story]
no need for analysts to keep the price down, not much interest in buying AAPL no matter what earnings are going to be... its all about guidance, new products, and China Mobile (lack of, until any positive update).
