Apple's Fiscal year starts Oct 1. Ergo Jul-Sep = Qtr 4. Oct - Dec = Qtr 1. For a corp., the fiscal year and calendar year do not need to correlate. :-)

Uptick rule, due to massive automated trading, will not help. Abolishing naked shorts will help. Longs have to put up money to enter a position. Naked shorts have to put up significantly less. Further, naked shorting creates phantom shares of stock that distort the supply/demand curve to their advantage. IMO shorting should not be allowed unless the shares are "borrowed" before the position is entered.

Agreed. But why are XM and Sirius still separate? Join them & increase the value to subscribers. And they could still have a basic and premium package much like cable/satellite TV for additional revenue.

When most people listen to music through car stereos or ear buds, sound quality is not that high on the list. Control, flexibility, and cost matter.

Re: iPhone App. With the 3.0 software, the could create a radio that the iPhone could plug directly into. One could then listen to the sat radio or their own music. Or the iPhone App could utilize the 3G network to stream music directly into the radio via the a MP3 player jack that is in the car. This app would work well in cities where ATT has a strong presence.
Siri's price movement yesterday looked a little too controlled. When Siri can go for minutes with a high/low of less than $0.0001, it seems odd. When the days H/L is exactly $0.4300 and low is $0.4000, the appearance is of massive price control.

It will be interesting to see how satellite radio competes with internet radio. Not so sure that satellite will win

SIRI up a little in AH. Tomorrow will be the tell for what the near future holds. If SIRI shows a profit or shows a profitable guidance, watch out. Shorts will be toast and a short-covering rally will ensue.
FWIW, the 52-week high at $2.88 was almost exactly 1 year ago. would be nice to see that again. :-D

With the new iPhone OS3.0, it will be possible to pay for updates directly from within the App. I can see SIRI selling its service via the iPhone on a quarterly basis with the ability to renew immediately on the App.
The problem with looking at Call Volume is that you don't know if people are buying or selling. Shorts can just as easily sell OTM Calls and wiat for them to expire worthless. At a $1/share strike, SIRI needs to move pretty far to get them ITM.
