I spent 31 years working in Finance for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of GA, finishing my career as CFO for the last 7 years. As part of my job, I was responsible for a portfolio of over $500 million which was contracted to outside professional managers. In addition, I directly managed a $100 million bond portfolio for our HMO subsidiary. Personally, I have been investing in stocks and buying and selling options for over 40 years. I managed my own retirement funds and still have more money than I had when I retired 11 years ago. I mostly give credit to that for keeping at least 10% of my investments in gold related investments(some stocks, gold mutual funds and Central Fund of Canada (CEF). I am currently about 50%in cash, as I consider all areas of the markets to be over valued and am going to wait for that inevitable correction, however long it takes.
