  • Oil & Gas Stocks: 'Stability At The Bottom' May Be A Positive Sign [View article]
With breakevens at $60 in US, and if there is some contention that Saudi led OPEC want to fight market share war then then WTI would have to be decently below 70 for a a sustained to reduce shale oil supply. It too early to call the bottom of oil and insane to play that as investment, which is almost safer to watch it turn and miss a few up percent before its considered safe

  • Why I'm More Confident Of My Herbalife Short Position Today [View article]
Classic married to a position guy talking his book, Tilton and Ackman. A scam it is but hey there is a market for it and you said so yourself product is paid for and consumed. Thats it !!! If they are selling dreams to certain communities dont assume they dont know the odds of the the lottery ticket they are buying. They do!! It is very uninformed of Ackman to not not understand that there are complex dynamics that cause someone to swallow the nutrition club bait. The actions by several agencies are uncertain , unlikely and at best years away will surely outlive his puts. The only thing that will trade near term is positions and thats a short squeeze !!

  • Gary Kain Is The Warren Buffett Of Mortgages [View article]
first he should liquidate agnc, crystallise 20% disc for s/h and become a fof for mreits. in a way so investors are not paying fees on fees. kain is looking to keep aum high to earn fees linked to aum. . very clear conflict of interest. bet s/h and management.

This kind of fee hogging seems to be aborrowed habit from the crooked reit brethren.

  • Tesla's First Red Flag [View article]
the main thing in the price of the stock is to keep the main thing the main thing: the heavy short interest . Shorts are always at peril of management, the Q was optimised to hurt the them (optically profitable with one offs etc, pushed production targets and sales etc....), this is more of the same with shorts covering at 90+ what better next step than have them fund a better balance sheet and screw themselves further. the reaction in higher price shows it works...this is war shorts can put this company at this risk stage out of business or drive it into the hands of big auto(what a disaster that would be) so dont expect management to take it lying down.....esp musk

  • How Executive Compensation Drives Corporate Motivation [View article]
sorry I was not clear.....they issue more stock, dilute holders and pay officers, who turn around and tend to sell all ....(so stock is currency and everyone has incentive to keep it high even though the s/h get diluted on secondary issuance.) I get that they have bills but if add up the dollars thats a awful lot of school tuition, Managment is pitching a prospective multibillion opportunity say 10x ...if they believe what they say then it is time to borrow, let alone not montise what they get, and back up the truck. They fail this acid test of credibility, imho

I agree the main point here but I find that in QCOR all new stock issuance is pay from exec comp which they have for most parts sold all while maintaining that earnings have 10+x prospect , why would they sell? whats your take?

  • Questcor: What's Really Changed? [View article]
Wrong..paying dividend from cash is shift shareholder money from left pocket to right pocket......very different from taking the cash from the bank (which by the way he has some he sold at 52..assuming that was coincidental and not voting with his feet). I understand that window is closed bc of Q3 but looking at long term history lack of insider buying is conspicous because it is in stark contrast to their pitch of a multibillion dollar market for achtar....

  • Huge Dividends And Choppy Trading For Questcor [View article]
Nothing like some "real" Insider buying to have the managment colocate their mouths and money ......but that would require spending their own money and not allocate shareholder money.....from cash account to divdend account. If the short thesis is correct they will eventually get back the dividends that they have paid in negative carry becasue the cash floor is now lower when it gets there. This is about the worst thing QCOR can do..
