  • Bloomberg: F-35 faces yet more delays due to software issues [View news story]
software problems stopped production of the F22. The F35 is just a corporate welfare program.
This vehicle will cost $25,000/ flight hour to operate. US is paying 40% of the cost for foreign countries that buy this lemon. How can this $600 billion development program be sustained? The only thing holding up profits for LMT and all other defense companies is advanced quarterly payments from the pentagon. That was an agreement congress made before the sequester. I don't see LMT sustaining these earning or the for 2nd quarter of 2015. This pork needs to be cut.

  • Lightbridge Corp's (LTBR) CEO Seth Grae on Q1 2014 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
I invest in LTBR because, there fuel has a two part advantage. Efficiency and safety.
What I'm puzzled about, is there lack of aggressive marketing of nuclear energy as a replacement for coal and NG. Few investors have heard of this advancement in nuclear energy. The history of this fuel is interesting and should be shared with investors and the public.

  • Reuters: U.S. to buy fewer F-35 jets than planned [View news story]
Not true. I worked in the defense industry for many years. The amount of jobs created is misunderstood. What is profitable in defense industry is the contracting to vendors. Vendor contracts are marked up 1000%. In the 1990's defense cutbacks released talented engineering and mangers on to the market.
Example: horizontal drilling used in the energy field was a start up by ex defense workers. As one door closes a window of opportunity opens. Defense industry is a profit machine for the few paid for by the taxpayer.

I have shorted UNXL since feb. It has payed off each of the three times I sold. It is clearly a scam. My opinion is that if this technology is valid. Larger manufactures would snap it up.

  • Where To Find Bargains In Gold Mining Stocks [View article]
The inability of our congress to take on austerity measures over the last 2 years has left the door open for gold prices and a weak economy. Some say that was their intention was to obstruct economic growth for there political benefit... Has it worked? It as created a unstable market that has short periods of growth followed by retracement. So for there selfish intent , yes Obama's tax increases in 2013 are the only responsible reaction to obstructionist congress that continues to hold our economy hostage....

The cash on hand argument is sometimes mistaken for reinvestment. Reinvestment is subjective in analysis. GMCR has come this far and in the long term it will own the single service coff/ tea market..

  • U.S. grounds the F-35 [View news story]
The F-35 wll cost $25000/ flight hour to operate. This F-35 is not a close support aircraft. It becomes unstable at slow speeds. Right now it can't care a full combat load. It can't hover with full fuel tanks. This aircraft will never live up
lockheeds hype. Then again they have been paid $1 trillion just for development and have made 30 aircraft. They received full payment during the sequester.

  • Alon USA Partners Suffers From Low Crack Spread [View article]
Another MLP criminal. The patners have one refinery. This MLP was formed in isreal between a bunch of retail outlets and one operating refinery. That was broke down most of the first quarter when crack prices were moving against refiners. Not a good investment at all should be investigated alone withLINE.
