Grayballs...Admittedly I did not do well in my school science class but your last sentence in your related post begs to be questioned. '"time to wake up and smell the carbon monoxide before it's too late". I had always thought it was the opposite, I.,e., smelling the carbon dioxide is what puts one to sleep, sometimes for a very long time.

Graybars...I always attempt to find the truth when a person posts as you did involving Santa and his elves. I made a quick trip to the North Pole (no, he hasn't moved yet) to find the truth and your comments regarding the bearded one fall by the wayside. His elves have already been spoken for by a company called Ballard who has problems of their own and his workshop serves as a type of resting place for the reindeer who truly need some private time after an exhausting Christmas "run". So please don't spread such nasty rumors about the little guys pitching in to help PLUG out of a stressful situation. BTW I was told that Ballard personnel in return for the elves assistance will clean up the workshop badly in need of a good washdown after 11 months or so of serving as a home for approx. one million deer. Best of the holiday to you, I am a bit late with that wish but I have had a bad case of the hiccups lately causing some real concern.

Man, am I confused? All along I have been enjoying the updates on our little baby PLUG (er.,it has grown a little so my reference should have been to "big brother"" but forgetting that for a minute it seems that the epic contest between believers of the product and those who hide their heads in disgust at same, really are not the major combatants in this escalating conflict. No it is ALex versus Davis which forces me into an entirely different stance from my previous consideration. From now on I will study the habits of each, research their personal lives and maybe come up with some astounding propositions...such as " there really is no PLUG at all," simply a proposition drawn up by the two aspiring rug rats to entertain us. Or, yes PLUG exists in all it's Marsh hiccups but there is no WalMart involved, it was a much smaller company with big ideas named MartWal. In any case I will follow this to it's eventual end which maybe decided on national television in a debate between the two above-named bandits with the winner gaining rights to a blow-out movie sequence on the ultimate outcome.

  • Plug Power: Where Are The Profits?  [View article]
Your comments regarding the super capacitors is very enlightening and something my wandering mind had missed. If all falls into place in your time frame, indeed Plug's rosy future would be dampened substantially. That being said from a practical point of view, we investors still can make a more than decent return in your time period of 5 to ten years. In fact at my ripe old age (not always ripe?) I stand to make enough money in the stock to pay for my funeral expenses including the bagpipe players whose services I have already bought off by purchasing small amounts of PLUG stock for each one and placed the certificates on the wall in a popular Irish bar. I have already informed Marsh he will not be welcome at the burial site since his hic-cups would prove very annoying to the bagpipe players.

I can't think of any other situation (other than embryonic high tech babies) that really defines the risk-reward equation as this stock does by placing a $ XX wager (your choice) that PLUG will be a headline stock for a long time accompanied by major profits. I enjoy the banter of the two gentlemen here who are constantly at each others throats and I am sure keep a running scoreboard as a matter of pride but that being said I really don't care if PLUG doesn't have a black bottom line in 2016. I really don't care if Marsh has a hiccup or two (okay, make it 3 or 4) the ingredients are there for a sizeable run in the near future (2017 and beyond) which gives me more time to accumulate a position that might even bring my ex to tears for several reasons

  • Plug Paradox: Record Revenues And Improving Record Margins Are Overshadowed By Over-Promising CEO  [View article]
The negatives expressed here are all justified yet because of our in-born quest to find the holy grail we continue to add to our small positions in an almost embarrassing silence. We do so because the financial world has declared this stock a "nightmare" with a CEO who seems to enjoy watching them growl and groan with each PR piece he publishes yet deep down inside we "insiders" sense the making of a new industrial giant at just about the time funeral arrangements have been made for it's demise. Now let me be, I need more wine to strengthen my convictions and prepare for heaven on earth!

  • $2 Med Stocks With Macro Tailwinds  [View article]
This was my first venture into a Chinese stock and I am a bit dismayed in that I cannot e-mail the company although I have tried every avenue all I get on the website is "rejected" and even my e-mail to corporate is refused by the postmaster. How do I get on their mailing lists or get reponses to questions that arise? Thanks Stan

I am interested in purchasing the 2016 warrants and would appreciate any comments as to how frequently they trade close to par(current stock price less .4% +2,40 conversion. Should I be in a rush to purchase now since we expect no FDA approval until year-end. Thanks anybody and thanks to George for such great detail in his work.

I am amazed at the rev. growth in this low-priced stock and am betting they will gross one billion dollars this year. EPS will soon follow as they rein in expenses making this sub-par $2 dollar stock a steal. Admittedly the process of placing buy and sell orders is a bit of a problem and one can only hope their intentions of becoming listed will become a reality in the months to come.

  • Implant Sciences Corp. (IMSC) Conference Call  [View instapost]
To me the biggest concern is their balance sheet. yes, yes they will see soaring revs down the road but will need additional financing sooner than that and thus my concern...What if their financing arm decides to call it quits now that the good news is out and calls in their demands for payment of all outstanding debt which is approx. 30 million dollars? Even if only a mere possibility that the company would be swallowed up by their main creditor and the common stock shareholder be left out, is enough to cause concern. You say it can't nhappe,,,,Take a look at Valiant Technology some six months back, a company referred to more than once on this website. yes, it could happen

  • Valence Technology (VLNC) files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company, a developer of lithium-ion batteries for vehicles and other high-power equipment, had already disclosed board resignations and a delisting notice yesterday afternoon. Rival A123 Systems (AONE +1.7%), which has its own cash flow problems, isn't showing any ill effects.   [View news story]
What a shame this fiasco is and still I can't believe it

retired broker dabbling "on the cheap" but secure after some 40 years in the business. Josh writes well and I enjoy his tidbits but he must learn to recognize the good AND THE BAD in given circumstances. There really is no excuse for missing the boat so badly with VLNC unless his research is biased.

If I read the figures correctly the GAAP figures for 2012 will still show a net loss with that huge loss of $5.20 EPS overcoming the raised guidance of at least $4.00 EPS NON-GAAP. I would appreciate some sort of ballpark figure for a GAAP EPS for the year 2013.
