I am a sixty-year-old Techie. I am long AAPL and RIMM on the Tech side. I own products from neither company. The majority of my investments are aggressive type with some growth and most income-focused. I am a former Edward Jones employee of some 5 years plus. Invested for the long term.
started investing right as the crash of 2008 began. It's been a wild ride and challenging to say the least! Started out as a relatively conservative long-term investor, but got impatient and shifted to more risky small-cap plays. Then lost quite a bit on Chinese small/micro-caps, before finally abandoning regular investing for an options-intensive approach that is working out much better.
My real name is Dale Satre. I am a sophomore high school student living in Brentwood, California.
I have been very passionate about economics since seventh grade, and am eager to start my own investment bank (msg me for more info). After a spark in seventh grade, I have aggressively studied economics on my own and how the market really moves, and how the world really works. I love to learn by myself, and believe that it is my ability to do so that will bring me to success. I love reading WSJ, Foreign Affairs, and any and all books about business, economics, politics, or anything.
I also love to write. I am an editor of Wikipedia, and have been writing down business plans and business ideas since seventh grade. I hope I can bring my expertise to the table here. And in writing, I also love to get connections. I'd love to be a part of your network and we can learn together.
A person like me has a lot of prove here. I can't wait to get started.
